The Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate Working Student to join our Website Team. In this position, you will support us in ensuring proper content flow, maintenance and further development of commercetools' website. Your main task will be to ensure that all of the required content has been provided and is visible on the pages. You will be in the center of landing page topics, collaborating with a motivated team of marketers and developers, taking part in day-to-day CMS activities, troubleshooting, and providing suggestions for improvements.
 
This role offers a hybrid work environment in our Munich office.
 
Your Mission:
  • Maintain and add new content to the website
  • Coordinate the overall web content process, making sure all the necessary information is provided
  • Quality assurance - making sure all content added to the website follows best practices
  • Involvement in setting up web content guidelines and processes to ensure smooth delivery and high quality of work
  • Work closely with the SEO Manager on organic traffic and visibility topics
  • Collaborate with the multiple teams within the organization on content setup depending on their needs
  • Conceptualize website layout ideas and mockups
  • Support the marketing team with identifying and defining new landing page component needs
  • Market research on current web trends
  • Troubleshoot and fix content issues in CMS
  • Create and maintain documentation
What you need to succeed:
  • You will need to be enrolled in either a Bachelors or Masters degree at a German university in order to be considered for our Working Student role
  • Digital savviness e.g. a strong affinity for online communication and technical solutions
  • Great communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with many different stakeholders
  • Structured way of working and excellent organizational skills
  • Proactivity in spotting issues and possible bottlenecks and collaborating with the team to fix them
  • Result-oriented mindset and the ability to break down complex topics into simple guidelines
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English 
Nice to have:
  • A degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies, or similar other (otherwise you will have first-hand experience working with content)
  • Previous experience with a CMS - Wordpress or Statamic would be great
  • SEO basics
  • German language skills
