The Opportunity:

Customer retention & expansion is the lifeblood of any SaaS business; reporting directly to the Global Head of Renewals, you will play a key role in managing the renewal lifecycle and generating cross-sell & upsell strategies in the assigned accounts within your region.  This role is critical to ensuring commercetools continues to achieve its growth objectives and combines sales skills, financial analysis and contract execution excellence.  If you enjoy a highly visible role, directly contributing towards critical company goals, apply to grow with us.
 
Your Mission:
  • Proactively develop customer retention strategies in your renewal accounts to meet or exceed your renewal targets.
  • Develop and maintain renewal pipeline and forecast for your assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute upsell & cross-sell strategies independently or in conjunction with Sales.
  • Identify & report on risks to renewals and work with cross-functional teams to keep churn to a minimum.
  • Be flexible: commercetools is a global business and renewals will occasionally be assigned outside of your home timezone.
  • Coordinate with Customer Success, Legal, and Sales to analyze customer-specific utilisation, determine appropriate new agreement terms, and generate contractual materials.
  • Engage directly with customers, escorting them throughout their renewal lifecycle while promoting commercetools value as we align on new agreement terms.
  • Provide regular renewal and new revenue potential feedback to Renewals leadership.
What you need to succeed:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a Sales, Business Development or Renewals Representative Account Executive role in a SaaS business.
  • Comfortable navigating legal agreements and associating product metrics with contractual terms.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Proven time and process-management skills
  • Experience driving multiple, time-sensitive, engagements simultaneously
  • Exceptional internal coordination and customer communication skills
  • Excellent English language skills 
  • Autonomous, proactive way of working and ability to work in a team
Nice to have:
  • Experience developing and/or enhancing efficient processes 
  • Non-English language skills
