Electrical Foreman
POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the Electrical Foreman involves actively leading a team of electricians to manage and coordinate electrical projects in commercial settings. This position is crucial in ensuring the safety and efficiency of the project tasks and guiding the crew toward completing installations, repairs, and maintenance. The foreman electrician demonstrates advanced technical knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and effective communication to achieve project success while adhering to high safety and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure the efficiency of the designated team.
- Forecast and strategize work to be completed with a 2-3 week look ahead.
- Manage crew’s working hours efficiently.
- Lead and work alongside electrical crews in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities, assign tasks, and provide clear instructions to crew members while optimizing productivity and resources.
- Interpret blueprints and other project-related documents to guide crew members accurately.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with project management to review scope, specifications, and schedules.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and performance.
- Promote workforce development by fostering crew growth and contributing to a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Effectively communicate with trade partners, superintendents, and stakeholders to coordinate work and resolve jobsite conflicts.
- Assist with management of inventory, equipment, and tools.
- Document project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and any changes to scope or conditions.
- Promote company culture to create a positive work environment while adhering to the company values.

- Ability to communicate effectively.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, ladder diagrams, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in using tools, equipment, and technology related to electrical work.
- Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to lift 50lbs and climb up and down a ladder safely.
- Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to work from various heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other safe work platforms.
- Committed to a minimum of 40-hour work weeks.
- Ability to work in and around restricted/ confined spaces
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Journeyman Electrician License or Equivalent Certification
- Minimum 8 years of electrical experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Experience in management and/or leading teams.
