The Role:The Senior Regional Manager is given broad operational latitude and decision-making responsibility for managing a significant real estate portfolio. This senior-level role directly impacts every team member working at communities assigned to the Regional Manager and plays a critical part in supporting the Avanath brand, building reputation, and ensuring consistent operational excellence.
This role provides senior leadership and expertise across acquisitions, due diligence, lease-up, capital improvements, and overall property operations. The Senior Regional Manager ensures that corporate standards, quality procedures, and staff training are consistently applied while fostering high morale and engagement among team members.
The incumbent in this role must possess a high degree of professionalism and positive engagement for our residents and the workforce.

Qualifications
- 5+ years in a community management leadership role, with a senior-level focus preferred.
- 5+ years of multifamily experience; affordable housing experience is highly desired.
- Experience in lease-up or new development strongly preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), property management systems, internet, and email.
- Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit/Bond/conventional qualifications preferred.
- Ability to travel frequently within the region and for corporate or industry events.
- Strong training, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under time constraints, manage multiple priorities, and oversee a diverse team.
Key Accountabilities
Fiscal Accounting
- Develop and execute operational budgets for the region; monitor monthly operating statements, budget-to-actual variances, and cash flow.
- Maximize efficiency and financial performance across the portfolio.
- Develop and implement collection strategies to minimize delinquencies.
- Oversee large capital projects and communicate effectively across departments.
- Prepare and submit subsidy vouchers, where applicable.
Staff Leadership
- Visit assigned communities a minimum of 3–4 times per week.
- Manage up to 10 sites and a diverse workforce.
- Directly support community managers, providing coaching, feedback, and staffing decisions.
- Collaborate with corporate support functions (compliance, finance, asset management, capital projects, HR).
- Conduct performance assessments and identify development opportunities.
- Address resident, team, and property concerns promptly.
Resident Relations + Customer Service
- Maintain positive communication with residents regarding operations, community initiatives, and concerns.
- Refer residents to appropriate services as needed.
- Implement systems to ensure prompt resolution of resident complaints.
Adherence to PM Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines
- Respond to housing violations and liability concerns in a timely and transparent manner.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Classified as essential staff and expected to report to work while adhering to all safety and business protocols.
- Frequent sitting, walking, and repetitive computer/phone use.
- Reading, writing, performing calculations, and verbal communication.
- May work at elevated sites or uneven ground.
- Occasional squatting, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
