Commvault is seeking a paralegal that provides strategic and operational support, including planning the day-to-day activities of the Legal Department. The Trust Ops Paralegal role is responsible for helping to build and implement processes that incorporate industry best practices with the goal of providing measurable and continuous operational improvements that hold the Legal team accountable through metrics, analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and discussion.
What you'll do...
- General administrative support on all legal team matters, including maintaining and organizing the team’s records.
- Identify areas of improvement in the legal organization, prepare and execute improved processes.
- Support legal team to communicate and educate team members on new processes and updates.
- Assist in Change Management which includes staying up to date and current on all processes and procedures designated by legal/legal-ops.
- Supporting cross-functional departments, such as finance and procurement, and ensuring alignment across various teams, which includes quarterly feedback meetings and discussions.
- Contract Management:
- Review and validate contract requests that enter the contract management tool.
- Assign requests to attorneys and contract managers based on workload.
- Working with members of the legal team on day-to-day ad hoc tasks, specific projects or new initiatives.
- Perform due diligence projects for the legal team.
- Responsible for first line negotiating of certain legal documents within an established framework of pre-approved responses, with ability to escalate issues as necessary.
- Maintain all legal templates used for commercial negotiations.
- Corporate Governance:
- Manage and update corporate entities within the entity management platform, Athennian;
- Assist with updating director appointments, as applicable, which can include reviewing resolutions, minutes or PoAs;
- Maintain and manage filing deadlines.
- Budget:
- Assist with enforcing processes to manage legal spend.
- Assists with onboarding legal team members upon hire; monitors legal team calendar for special events and team birthdays!
Who you are...
- In house or law firm legal experience negotiating contracts (with oversight) and paralegal degree preferred.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
- Organized and Responsive
- Strong task and project management skills
- Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to work independently and drive key initiatives while also being a team member
- Pro-active, open-minded, and willing to take initiative
- Strong attention to detail
- Open to business travel from time to time
- 2-3 years of experience

US Pay Range
$54,400 - $149,730 USD
