Release Operations Manager - SaaS & Software
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Software & SaaS Release Manager to manage, plan, and coordinate software releases across multiple product teams and environments. The ideal candidate will oversee the release lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deployments, reducing risk, and streamlining communication between Product, Development, QA, Enablement, Marketing and other key business stakeholders
What you’ll do…
- Own the end-to-end release process for software and SaaS product lines, includes quarterly major releases and monthly or bi-weekly minor releases.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Development, QA, Product, Marketing, Support, and Enablement, to ensure feature readiness for successful and timely releases.
- Document and maintain release schedules, release notes, deployment plans, and rollback procedures.
- Establish and manage change management processes.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements.
- Facilitate go/no-go meetings and post-release reviews to gather feedback from customer success, support and pre-sales teams and communicate to product and engineering leadership
- Partner with engineering, product management and program management teams to continuously improve release processes and automation tools.
- Manage risks related to releases and proactively address issues before they impact delivery.
Who you are?
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software release management, configuration management, or a similar role.
- Strong project management skills, including experience working with agile teams.
- Experience with tools like Git, JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple releases across distributed teams.
- Knowledge in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) Pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to build relationships across all levels and teams in the organization.
- Collaborative and proactive attitude.
- High attention to detail and ability to track multiple moving parts.
- Strong Strategic mindset and capabilities.
