As organizations adopt AI and operate across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, data access control becomes a real-time, mission-critical runtime challenge. The Runtime group sits on the hot path between users, applications, and sensitive data — enforcing governance and protection with high performance and strong reliability.
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join Satori’s Runtime group. This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys working close to the system, contributing to runtime design decisions, and building robust infrastructure used by large enterprises every day.

In this role, you’ll have meaningful technical ownership, opportunities to influence core runtime systems, and the chance to work on challenging problems at the heart of modern data security platforms.
What You’ll Do…
- Contribute to the design and technical direction of the Runtime group
- Design and build high-performance, low-latency enforcement paths for data access across databases and the organization’s sensitive data
- Participate in design discussions and help evaluate tradeoffs across security, performance, scalability, and operability
- Build and evolve runtime components such as proxies and orchestrators
- Help ensure the runtime is production-grade:
- Highly available and resilient
- Observable, debuggable, and auditable
- Safe to deploy, upgrade, and operate at scale
- Collaborate closely with peers across product, platform, and security teams
Who you are…
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of professional software development experience, with meaningful experience in systems or infrastructure software
- Strong systems programming experience in C, C++, and/or Rust
- Experience designing and building production-grade runtimes, distributed systems, proxies, agents, or control planes
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, concurrency, memory management, and performance considerations
- Experience contributing to mission-critical systems in production
- Demonstrated technical ownership and a strong engineering track record
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and cloud-native deployment models
- Domain knowledge in databases, query engines, networking, or protocols
- Experience operating and troubleshooting large-scale production environments
- Familiarity with data security, governance, or compliance domains
- Experience supporting AI or data-intensive workloads
