Director / Head of Marketing – India, SAARC & Center of Excellence (COE)

The Opportunity:

The Director / Head of Marketing – India, SAARC & Center of Excellence (CoE) will lead the overall regional marketing strategy, execution, and performance to drive pipeline growth, brand leadership, and revenue impact across the region.

This role is responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive, integrated marketing strategy aligned with regional business objectives, while also partnering closely with the India Center of Excellence to amplify Commvault’s presence across the broader ecosystem.

The role will work in close partnership with India leadership across Sales, Sales Engineering, Channel, and Engineering to influence go-to-market strategy, strengthen brand awareness, and translate mindshare into measurable market share.

Additionally, this leader will ensure strong alignment and collaboration with marketing functions operating out of the CoE to build scalable, integrated campaigns and leverage global capabilities effectively.

A key expectation from this role is to embed AI-driven marketing approaches to enhance personalization, scale execution, improve insights, and drive efficiency across all marketing programs.

What you’ll do…

  1. Regional & CoE Marketing Strategy Leadership

  • Defines and owns the end-to-end marketing strategy across India, SAARC, and CoE alignment.
  • Translates global marketing vision into region-specific strategies and scalable execution frameworks.
  • Identifies market opportunities, competitive positioning, and growth segments.

  • Drives the “mindshare to market share” agenda through strong brand positioning and revenue alignment.

Who you are?

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in enterprise technology
  • Proven leadership experience managing regional or country marketing teams
  • Experienced in leading and developing regional marketing teams.
  • Strong understanding of India & SAARC market dynamics
  • Experience working with or within Centers of Excellence and global marketing organizations
  • Experience engaging with GCCs, partner ecosystems, and engineering organizations in India
  • Demonstrated success in driving pipeline growth, brand awareness, and revenue impact
  • Experience leveraging AI-driven marketing approaches
  • Strong executive presence, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills
