Job Title: Senior Software Test Automation Engineer (Indexing Team)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Software Test Automation Engineer to join our Indexing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python-based test automation, solid system-level knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms, and a passion for validating complex, distributed software systems. This role requires someone who can quickly learn new technologies, integrate multiple components and systems, and ensure high product quality through robust automation and analytical testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and test suites using Python.
• Validate complex software workflows across multiple interconnected systems and platforms.
• Develop automated functional, integration, regression, and system-level tests.
• Investigate, reproduce, and troubleshoot product issues across Windows and Linux environments.
• Work closely with developers, architects, and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Create and execute SQL queries and scripts to validate application behavior and data integrity.
• Analyze system logs, network traces, and product telemetry to identify defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in test planning, test design reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Drive automation coverage improvements and identify opportunities to reduce manual testing effort.
• Contribute to CI/CD and automation best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation development.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Good understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, including system administration concepts, services, processes, file systems, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and experience writing SQL queries and scripts.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, ports, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Ability to quickly learn and work effectively in complex technical environments.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience testing distributed systems, enterprise software, or large-scale platforms.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and automated testing pipelines.
• Knowledge of containerized environments and virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with performance, scalability, and reliability testing.
• Experience with backup, recovery, storage, data management, or cyber resilience products is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and API testing methodologies.
