Solutions Architect 4 – SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Lead

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Pay Rate: $100–$110/hr
Clearance: Ability to acquire Q clearance (US Citizenship Required)

Applicants must demonstrate experience with:

  • Enterprise Oracle and SQL Server database implementation and administration, including SQL (T-SQL) and PL/SQL.
  • Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management, Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM, Oracle WebLogic, and Oracle Project Integration Framework (PIF).
  • The ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance following hire.

Candidates who do not possess the required Oracle enterprise technologies experience or cannot meet DOE clearance requirements will not be considered.


Impact

As a Solutions Architect 4, you will serve as the principal architect for large-scale enterprise technology solutions supporting mission-critical operations at Los Alamos National Laboratory. You will provide technical leadership across complex hardware, software, database, networking, and enterprise application environments while helping shape long-term technology strategy. Your expertise will directly influence future capabilities by delivering innovative, scalable, and secure solutions that support one of the nation's premier research institutions.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the principal architect for complex enterprise hardware, software, database, networking, telecommunications, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable enterprise architectures.
  • Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to recommend practical solutions.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects requiring collaboration across multiple technical disciplines.
  • Provide architectural leadership for enterprise systems involving hardware, software development, systems programming, networking, security, telecommunications, and data management.
  • Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with long-term organizational objectives.
  • Manage projects from planning through implementation, including documentation, scheduling, training, and user adoption.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and technical teams.
  • Maintain compliance with Laboratory safety, security, and operational policies.
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Expert-level knowledge of enterprise architecture principles across hardware, software, networking, security, data management, and enterprise web application delivery.
  • Extensive experience implementing, administering, maintaining, and supporting Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Oracle WebLogic
    • Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management
    • Oracle Project Integration Framework (PIF)
  • Experience supporting project controls environments, including estimating, scheduling, and cost integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and build collaborative working relationships.
  • Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with SQL (T-SQL) and PL/SQL.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
  • 12 years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
  • Post-graduate coursework and/or relevant professional certifications are considered a plus.
