This is a fully remote role to be based in Malaysia. We will prioritize candidates who are based in Malaysia and do not require a work visa sponsorship.

About the Job

 

We are looking for a motivated and data-passionate person who can turn information into action by gathering, analyzing, and modeling our data, enabling smarter decision-making. The successful candidate will be able to use a broad set of analytical tools and techniques to develop quantitative and qualitative business insights for our Singapore market. They should be able to work with stakeholders across Marketing, Commercial, and Product teams, to track business performance and clearly communicate recommendations or necessary actions to maximize results and optimize investment.

 

The Business Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Consolidate data from various sources, review and curate into comprehensive reports, presentations and dashboards containing meaningful metrics and insights for business functions (e.g. sales & marketing).
  • Maintain reporting and analysis of key performance indicators and operating metrics, along with monthly, quarterly and annual forecast plans
  • Deliver data support by accessing and working with large data from multiple sources, and partnering it with the business to identify opportunities and deliver results
  • Conduct data analysis to solve business problems through the use of statistical and/or machine-learning models
  • Integrate systems and data effectively and efficiently, working across teams as necessary
  • Build forecasts, statistical models, segmentation schemes, and data-driven analysis to drive marketing efforts around customer acquisition and conversion
  • Manage and track campaign performances including conducting all analysis and post-campaign reporting
  • Provide key data insights to help shape new or existing campaigns, identify growth opportunities, and improve budget investments.
  • Produce dashboards and reports to support the Marketing Team to assist them on campaign performance management (by channel) and content & creative performance (Social media, Emails & Blogs)
  • Support Management on ad hoc requirements such as new business case development & business review deep dives.
  • Define, develop & document business processes and procedures to improve administrative efficiency.
  • Educating and enabling stakeholders for self-service of business data



In this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of direct experience in business reporting (e.g. marketing & sales), conducting data analysis, building self-service reporting and analytical tools, and delivering business insights in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity.
  • Experience in managing datasets and data visualization tools (e.g., Data Studio, Tableau, or equivalent) is a must.
  • Advanced spreadsheet and intermediate SQL skills along with familiarity with data modeling (e.g. revenue forecast and campaign projections) is a must.
  • Understanding of statistics to run A/B tests to optimize funnel performance.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling
  • Comfortable with the whole analytical process from identifying insight gaps to designing and running initiatives to fill them
  • Experience with digital advertising measurement methods and technologies
  • Analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and concepts
  • Strong and effective data storytelling (visual, written, and oral) communication skills to complement and clearly convey data findings
  • Expertise in data visualization software (E.g. QuickSight, Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, etc.) for effective data presentation is a plus
  • People management experience is a plus
  • Strong ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with strong organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English Language and ability to communicate technical content to the general audience



Good to have:

  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, R, etc.) for data gathering, data cleansing and statistical analysis is a plus.
  • A Bachelor's degree emphasizing statistical and analytical skills - prior e-Commerce or Fintech experience is a plus.
  • Experience with digital advertising measurement methods with proficiency in using marketing automation tools, including Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, DCM, Google Adwords, Facebook Analytics, Social Media listening tools.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.
