About the Job

A Team Leader in the banking sector typically oversees a team of employees who work in various banking functions, such as customer service, tellers, loan officers, or branch operations. Overall, a banking team leader plays a vital role in driving customer satisfaction, achieving sales targets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while leading a team of banking professionals effectively. Leadership, communication, sales acumen, and a strong understanding of banking operations are essential skills for success in this role. The Team Leader will report to the Telesales Manager - Banking for the Philippines and will be a part of the local management team.

 

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Provide team leadership and coaching.
  • Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
  • Provide the team with a vision of the project objectives.
  • Motivate and inspire team members.
  • Lead by setting a good example (role model) - behavior consistent with words.
  • Coach and help develop team members; help resolve dysfunctional behavior.
  • Facilitate problem solving and collaboration.
  • Strive for team consensus and win-win agreements.
  • Ensure discussions and decisions lead toward closure.
  • Maintain healthy group dynamics.
  • Intervene when necessary to aid the group in resolving issues.
  • Assure that the team members have the necessary education and training to effectively participate on the team.
  • Encourage creativity, risk-taking, and constant improvement
  • Recognize and celebrate team and team member accomplishments and exceptional performance

 

Focus the team on the tasks at hand or the internal and external customer requirements

  • Coordinate with internal and external customers as necessary.
  • Familiarize the team with the customer needs, specifications, design targets, the development process, design standards, techniques and tools to support task performance.
  • Assure that the team addresses all relevant issues within the specifications and various standards.
  • Provide necessary business information.
  • Initiate sub-groups or sub-teams as appropriate to resolve issues and perform tasks in parallel.
  • Ensure deliverables are prepared to satisfy the project requirements, cost and schedule.
  • Help keep the team focused and on track.
  • Lead by example by achieving both individual and team targets.

Coordinate team logistics

  • Work with functional managers to obtain necessary resources to support the team's requirements.
  • Establish meeting times, places and agendas.

Communicate team status, task accomplishment, and direction

  • Provide status reporting of team activities against the program plan or schedule.
  • Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams.
  • Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team.
  • Provide guidance to the team based on management direction.

 

In this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years work experience in team leading
  • Showmanship, with nothing being too detailed or hands-off
  • Great leadership skills, with ability to excite and inspire all levels of a sales organization
  • Love for sales
  • High sense of urgency and best in class work ethics
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Fluent in English and Tagalog (Verbal and Written)
  • Experience with outbound sales preferred
  • Experience with foreign and local accounts preferred
  • Familiarity with non-life insurance products is preferred

Who may have access to personal data?

Your information will be shared internally within the Group for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by MoneyHero Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on MoneyHero Group’s behalf.

MoneyHero Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to the us during the recruitment process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.
