About the Job

Being part of the Corporate Development team, this role will support M&A transactions and investor relations by building IR strategies, engaging with investors, conducting strategic analysis, managing due diligence and driving corporate growth initiatives. 

This role will require travel and direct engagement with potential investors, including face-to-face meetings and investor roadshows.

 

The Associate, Corporate Development will be responsible for:

  • Investor Relations:
    • Investor Engagement – Expert on MHG’s business. Work with investors and analysts to ensure the company’s financial performance and outlook is well understood. Supporting the head of corporate development in new investor engagement, new investor sourcing and responding to inquires from investors and communicating investor feedback to internal stakeholders. 
    • Quarterly Earnings – Manage the logistics for earnings calls and contribute to all aspects of the quarterly earnings prep process, which included helping to prepare the quarterly financial press, release, conference call transcript, Q&A documents, investor presentations, and other associated materials. Ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
    • Internal Collaboration – develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders. Collaborate across departments (including finance, PR, marketing, legal) to help ensure a consistent corporate image is presented to all external parties.
    • Investor Conferences and meetings – Assist in organizing the actively participating in investor conferences and meetings and roadshows. Support the senior management in investor presentations 
    • IR databases – own and maintain the investor CRM as well as ownership of the analyst consensus model
    • IR website – Oversea the IR portion of the company’s website to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
    • Strategy & planning – Collaborate on developing the strategy for the investor relations function including executing the IR operating plan and budget.
  • M&A 
    • Conduct thorough, data-driven quantitative and qualitative analysis to support Corporate Development and Strategy initiatives and recommendations. 
    • Serve as a key team member in the due diligence process for strategic M&A transactions, managing various workstreams from start to finish. 
    • Drive the execution of acquisition integration activities across key business functions.
    • Perform detailed external market research to identify trends, gather competitive industry intelligence, and screen M&A opportunities.
    • Maintain a comprehensive database of industry insights to support strategic analysis and decision-making.
    • Assist with specific projects supporting senior management strategic goals and the firm’s overall business growth. 

In this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Commerce, Economics or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in business strategy, capital market, investor relations, or related industry 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills – Word, PPT, Excel
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Mandarin language competencies would be an advantage.
  • Existing network of relationships with global family offices, hedge funds and other investment related firms is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, financial acumen and the ability to analyze market trends and investor sentiment.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.
