Associate Director, Family Therapy
Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role
As an Associate Director of Family Therapy, you will lead a team of Family Therapists and assist Compass leadership in all clinical programs, while continuing to participate in active patient care. You will conduct family sessions with patients and their loved ones that will aim at providing support, offering education, and promoting collaboration, while ensuring the continued quality of our programs. Introduced as our newest site in 2021, our brand-new state-of-the-art facility at Oak Brook is modern, bright, and creates an inviting therapeutic space for both patients and employees alike.
What You’ll Do
- Works with program directors/associate directors to assess overall delivery of family therapy services to the programs and maintain quality services
- Provides supervision and clinical support for Family Therapists for all clinical programs
- Writes and delivers performance reviews for the family therapy team
- Collaborate and coordinate with leaders in all clinical programs as well as within Oak Brook facility and Compass to ensure quality of programming
- Lead family therapy initiatives that align with company key initiatives
- Providing clinical supervision for staff working towards licensure
- Providing family therapy to a caseload of patients including but not limited to creating and updating treatment plans, charting in our electronic medical system, and coordinating care with patient’s outside providers to ensure continuity of care
- Utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) as well as other evidenced-based therapies
- Engaging in crisis management, as needed
- Participating in professional development activities
- Communicate with patients’ family members or support system, as needed
- Coordinate care with patients’ outside providers to ensure continuity of care
- As indicated, participating in community outreach
- Advertise, interview, hire staff, and onboard as needed
- Engage in frequent communication and collaboration with team members via rounds, EMR notes, emails, and face-to-face communication
Who You Are
- Master’s level clinician with 4+ years of post-master’s clinical experience conducting individual, family, and/or group therapy.
- Clinical license required: LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD
- Knowledge and Experience utilizing evidenced-based treatment focusing on CBT, DBT and ACT. As well as other modalities, ERP and motivational interviewing.
- Clinical experience conducting individual and family therapy at PHP/IOP level of care preferred
- The ability to manage administrative duties while balancing clinical demands
- Organizational skills and timeliness of projects and documentation
- Strength in collaborating and consulting with various programs and their differing needs
- Strong communication skills

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications. Compass reserves the right to update these ranges.
This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus which is dependent upon individual and company performance.
Compensation
$78,000 - $98,000 USD
