Manager, Initiative Excellence
Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role
We're seeking a skilled Deployment Leader to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for facilitating process improvement projects, guiding teams in the use of operational excellence tools, and promoting a culture of operational excellence across your home location(s) as well as all Compass sites. Ensure day to day practices are in place to improve processes, eliminate waste, and drive continuous improvement.
This position primarily supports our Northbrook and Chicago locations, and at times will need to be onsite across all Compass locations to support process improvement work. The hours for this role are: Monday-Friday from 9AM-5PM.
What You’ll Do
- Reporting to the Director of Initiative Excellence, you will work alongside a cross-functional team to lead projects designed to drive our key initiatives forward at your home site(s) and across the organization.
- Partner with key initiative leader(s) and site leaders to provide project management support while leveraging operational excellence tools to expose waste and areas of opportunity and support change management opportunities
- Facilitate Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs)/Kaizen Events
- Responsible for implementation of operational excellence tools for daily monitoring and auditing of process improvement efforts that impact patient flow and clinical operations to such as Access to Care, Patient and Family Engagement, Optimal Outcomes and Continuity and Excellence.
- Partner with site(s) program leaders in creating documentation, tools, and scalable processes to support Compass’s performance surrounding key clinical initiatives
- Proactively challenge existing processes and workflows – suggest and support implementation of necessary changes to optimize performance and quality of care
- Daily analysis of KPIs to troubleshoot and inform opportunities to amplify successful key initiatives for site(s) you support
- Lead while “managing through influence”—work collaboratively by gaining buy-in and trust from operational and clinical leaders and staff
- Lead implementation and ongoing maintenance and improvement of a huddle system across site(s) you support while collaborating across the organization for overall huddle system improvements
- Train and coach Compass leaders on the use of Lean tools and how to apply in day-to-day operations within your site(s)
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Healthcare Administration, or Human services fields
- Formal or informal training in Lean or other/similar process improvement methodologies: Rapid Improvement Events/Kaizen, Green Belt Projects, A3, Project Management, etc.
- Experience in clinical operations, statistics, data informed care.
- Minimum of 2 years in Health Care, Behavioral Health experience is a plus
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate effectively across various departments within the organization.
- High level of motivation, organization, independence, flexibility, agility and teamwork
- Have the ability to motivate and be part of creating a safe, fun, efficient, positive team-orientated environment
- Comfortable with new technologies
- Strong Excel skills are a must; PowerBI (or other reporting tool) a plus

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications. Compass reserves the right to update these ranges.
This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus which is dependent upon individual and company performance.
Compensation
$80,000 - $90,000 USD
