This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The contributions you will make:
This position strives to ensure Compeer Financial is operating in material regulatory and contractual compliance within its risk tolerance. This position serves as the digital regulatory compliance subject matter expert, advises and trains team members in matters related to digital compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, and develops and executes testing and monitoring for the organization’s online lending platform and programs.
A typical day:
- Serves as the primary compliance resource to the AgTech and Digital Delivery teams regarding legal and/or compliance related questions and delivers workable solutions to issues.
- Provides advice on new digital initiatives and on how changes in regulations may affect policies, procedures, and related documentation.
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable federal and state regulatory laws and standards in the digital space and monitors advancements to ensure organizational compliance.
- Conducts thorough risk assessments of digital platforms and programs to identify compliance risk.
- Executes a testing and monitoring program for internal digital platforms and programs, and conducts periodic compliance audits on third-party AgTech partners.
- Identifies and validates issues during testing in order to conclude on the effectiveness of controls to comply with the organization’s policies or applicable regulatory requirements. Discusses potential corrective action with the business and provides recommendations for action plans.
The skills and experience we prefer you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, agribusiness or other related degree; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Expert-level experience in compliance, auditing, or legal fields.
- Knowledge of federal and state (Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and online lending.
- Ability to apply laws and regulations to the digital space.
- Adept legal advisory skill.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

$103,105 - $139,495 USD
