Where you will work:

This position offers a hybrid option to allow for occasional remote work, primarily working out of the St. Paul, MN office location(s).

The contributions you will make: 

This position plans, leads and manages all new business development strategies and tactics for ProPartners Financial.  Accountable for all relationship management responsibilities with current and prospective program clients.  Is responsible for all marketing and brand management strategies and tactics, including marketing communication, advertising, and e-business developments plans, as well as directing the sales and marketing activities to leverage those opportunities.  Primary focus is on developing and expanding relationships with national and regional scope agribusinesses with potential loan volume of greater than $20 million.  Financial management responsibilities include department budgeting, relationship profitability management, and overall pricing and program structure. Responsible for coordinating with loan operations the onboarding and ongoing training of new and existing dealers on use of loan origination and servicing platform. Coordinates collection and assessment of dealer feedback and recommends enhancements to loan origination and servicing platform to improve customer experience.  

A typical day: 

  • Business Development
    • Identifiesdevelops and implements all new business development strategies and tactics.  
    • Is accountable for all relationship management responsibilities for current and prospective program clients.  
    • Oversees strategies and programs to ensure strong, profitable working relationships are established and maintained. 
    • Establishes goals and objectives for new business development.  
    • Coaches' others relative to those goals and monitors overall performance and results.  
    • Manages existing and prospective high-profile client accounts. 
  • Credit Delivery
    • Works closely with the leaders in Credit and Operations to develop and implement programs to ensure the most efficient, effective delivery of credit. 
    • Coordinates with Operations in the onboarding and ongoing training of new and existing dealers on use of loan origination and servicing platform.
    • Collects and assesses dealer feedback and recommends enhancement to Credit Delivery that improve overall customer experience. 
  • Strategic Leadership & Team Management
    • Champions the brand; serves as a role-model for the vision, mission and values of the organization. 
    • Communicates business expectations and goals to team and is responsible for team’s results. 
    • Selects, develops, motivates, coaches, evaluates and rewards department team members and leaders. 
    • Evaluates performance and facilitates engagement within the team. 
    • Promotes a positive work environment that leverages the talents and abilities of team members in achieving organizational and team goals. 
    • Assesses talent and determines the division of responsibilities and how the teams should be organized. 
    • Determines and effectively communicates performance standards and development plans and assesses performance against standards. 
    • Drives continuous process improvement within the team. 
    • Works with leaders to increase efficiency and quality of the sales program.
    • Participates actively in the identification, development, and implementation of strategic priorities and plans for ProPartners Financial.  
    • Leads the strategic planning process for the Relationship Management team, including department budgeting, profitability management, and overall pricing/funding.
    • Prepares action plans in response to reviews, audits, and examinations. 
    • Works closely with the President, as well as other members of the senior leadership team, to ensure the efficient delivery and administration of products and services to effectively meet the business’s mission and long-term objectives.   
  • Marketing & Brand Management
    • Collaborates with other leaders to identify, develop and implement highly effective marketing and brand management strategies and tactics. 
    • Coordinates marketing communications, advertising, CRM management, and e-business.  
  • Industry Expertise
    • Monitors and interprets market trends and conducts competitive analysis to aid in the determination of the strategic direction of the business, including program development and business development. 
    • Maintains appropriate knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to trade credit programs.
    • Anticipates and understands emerging trends and strategically positions ProPartners for long-term success.
    • Participates in industry events to promote the ProPartners brand.

The skills and experience we prefer you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in agribusiness,business administration, agriculture, marketingor related field. An advanced degree or MBA is preferred.  
  • Expert-level experience in a financial services environment. 
  • Expert-level experience in Leadership and management. 
  • Expert working knowledge of business development, relationship management, and marketing strategies and practices.  
  • Advanced knowledge of the crop input finance industry and the agricultural retail and wholesale industries. 
  • Solid understanding of credit underwriting and operations.  
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, and implement programs and processes.  
  • Strategic and innovative. 
  • Leadership skills to select, evaluate, engage, motivate, mentor, train, delegate, reward and lead remote team members. 
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. 
  • Skill in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships. 
  • High level of integrity. 
  • Advanced problem solvingdecision making, negotiating, and organizational skills. 
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and financial applications.  
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. 
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.

 

How we will take care of you:

Our job titles may span more than one career level (associate, senior, principal, etc.). The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
