This is a paid internship; however, the intern must provide their own housing and transportation. Business related transportation and expenses will be paid by the organization. This intern will work full-time through the summer of 2025. The internship is located out of our Bloomington, IL office location.
The contributions you will make:
This internship serves Compeer Financial’s internal and external clients by supporting the Finance and Investments team. The Intern will assist with various reporting and accounting tasks for the Investments team along with other projects to add value for Compeer’s Asset Liability Committee (ALCO).
A typical day:
- Perform standard reporting on the investment portfolio.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Process journal entries.
- Assist with data location and input.
- Research and analysis on investment offerings or performance/characteristics of investments within our portfolio.
- Research and analysis on interest rates and loan pricing.
The skills and experience we prefer you have:
- Working towards completing an accounting, finance or agribusiness degree, with 1-2 years completed.
- Strong working knowledge of computers and software applications such as Excel, Word, and Access.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication, problem solving skills and time management required.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
