Where you will work: This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The contributions you will make:
Responsible for helping to ensure that Compeer is delivering strong client facing digital cash management features that are integrated and easy to use for our largest and most complex clients. Assesses client needs and identifies potential cash management solutions to support new clients and expand solutions for existing clients. Assists team leader in managing and prioritizing enhancements of digital cash management services. Proactively works with peers and management to build an effective strategic operational environment maximizing efficient processes and procedures. Builds the consultant role by gaining referrals from multiple business segments, in partnership with the Credit and Sales team and other functional business units.

A typical day: 

  • Works with the Relationship Management team to identify new and existing clients with whom Compeer has opportunities to enhance and deepen relationships through the use of cash management tools to run their business.
  • Maintains relationships with existing online and in-person clients that utilize cash management tools.
  • Assesses client needs and recommends effective strategies utilizing Compeer’s cash management tools and/or partner cash management tools. Assists line of business by serving as a trusted advisor for the client.
  • Annually reviews/audits client utilization of cash management tools and recommends any needed changes or enhancements.
  • Partners and maintains communication with sales, relationship managers and internal partners to stay up-to-date on customer relationships and provide seamless service.
  • Meets regularly with prospective customers to review cash management products.
  • Enhances and develops cash management services, including but not limited to Business Banking, Bill Pay, Positive Pay, ACH origination, Remote Deposit Capture, Business Mobile and Mobile Deposit Capture, wire transfers, retail/business credit cards and related payment/transfer type solutions.
  • Performs various activities in support of the sales function, including but not limited to calling customers, conducting relationship reviews for customers with cash management needs, participating in public speaking engagements for both internal and external meetings and participating in educational sessions for relationship managers and clients.
  • Conducts analyses of entity’s receivables, payables, information reporting, liquidity management, fraud management and other operational processes.
  • Assists cash management Product Owner in creating and delivering training materials/presentations on cash management to sales teams and other internal teams.
  • Performs timely follow-up on newly implemented cash management services to address any concerns and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Monitors the implementation process, including the gathering and preparation of required agreements.
  • Develops and enhances methodologies to demonstrate, implement and maintain cash management products and services for clients.
  • Troubleshoots and makes recommendations regarding system, configuration and functionality issues within online banking and/or cash management tools.
  • Collaborates with technology teams to proactively monitor cash management systems and recommend workarounds and viable solutions to improve client service and responses. Also collaborates with security and legal teams on the resolution of serious issues (i.e. fraud) and keeps senior leadership informed.
  • Proactively identifies changes in risks related to cash management services and takes actions to appropriately mitigate actions.
  • Develops, enhances and manages risk assessment tools. Also develop troubleshooting parameters for Remote Deposit Capture, Mobile Deposit Capture, wire processing and ACH processes.

The skills and experience we prefer you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Previous experience with online banking systems and/or digital platforms and an understanding of cash management functions or solutions.
  • Experience in cash management and working capital products, solutions, trends and best practice
  • Proven client service skills and the ability to articulate product functionality both to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work independently, think creatively, and investigate thoroughly as well as an understanding of how process improvement and technology can collaborate to provide efficient business solutions.
  • Solid knowledge and skills in utilizing Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, etc.) and project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge and abilities for troubleshooting via reporting, query creation and collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 35% of the time in order to meet directly with clients.

How we will take care of you:

Our job titles may span more than one career level (associate, senior, principal, etc.). The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

Base Pay

$66,000 - $99,700 USD
