Where you will work:

This position offers a hybrid work option (up to 50% remote) and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The contributions you will make: 

This position is a senior enterprise leader responsible for guiding Compeer Financial through successful transformation, change adoption, and enterprise capability building. The incumbent leads the enterprise change management and program/project management functions and oversees future process improvement initiatives to ensure organizational readiness, alignment, and execution of critical strategic efforts. The role serves as a key advisor and operator, working with the Executive Leadership team, business units, and enabling functions to embed change leadership practices, drive the execution of enterprise-wide initiatives, and strengthen Compeer’s ability to transform effectively. This leader also manages a small but high-impact team of change, project, and program professionals, partners closely with Strategy, HR, Business Technology, and Finance, and plays a critical role in the successful delivery of multi-year transformation initiatives.

A typical day: 

  • Develops and leads the enterprise-wide change management strategy to support strategic priorities and transformation initiatives.
  • Builds and scales change management tools, playbooks, training, and best practices.\
  • Coaches initiative sponsors, executives, and leaders on effective change management behaviors.
  • Leads Compeer's enterprise program and project management function, including initiative intake, prioritization, resource mapping, and performance tracking.
  • Partners with business units and Executive Leadership Team members to align initiative portfolios with strategic and financial goals.
  • Builds consistent, scalable project and program management capabilities to improve delivery discipline.
  • Ensures the enterprise is focused on fewer, higher-impact priorities that are resourced to succeed.
  • Leads change readiness assessments and stakeholder engagement strategies to drive adoption.
  • Partners with senior leaders to build alignment and commitment to change efforts.
  • Collaborates closely with the Corporate Communications team, Marketing, HR, and Strategy to craft and deliver enterprise-wide communications that build clarity, alignment, and momentum.
  • Facilitates workshops, leadership forums, and change capability sessions across the enterprise.
  • Defines and evolves Compeer's future approach to process improvement and transformation execution.
  • Collaborates with HR and Learning and Development to integrate change leadership into enterprise talent and learning strategies.
  • Serves as a culture carrier and role model for inclusive, people-centered leadership.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce friction, improve performance, and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops a high-performing team focused on change management, program/project management, and enterprise transformation.
  • Sets clear goals, defines roles, and fosters a team culture of accountability, impact, and continuous learning.
  • Provides ongoing feedback, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Recruits and retains top talent; ensures the team is structured and supported to scale with enterprise needs.
  • Acts as a thought partner and sounding board for team leads and initiative owners across the organization.

The skills and experience we prefer you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational development, psychology, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Expert-level experience leading enterprise change management, transformation, or organizational effectiveness in a large, complex organization.
  • Advanced-level leadership and management experience, preferred.
  • Experience with Fortune 500 firms or top-tier consulting firms in a change leadership or transformation role.
  • Track record of supporting Executive Leadership Team-level stakeholders and leading enterprise initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Certified or well-versed in change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter), required.
  • Deep knowledge of portfolio and project management principles.
  • Deep understanding of change management frameworks, adoption practices, and transformation dynamics.
  • Advanced experience leading initiative prioritization, sequencing, and resourcing at the enterprise level.
  • Advanced experience linking change efforts to long-term organizational strategy and value realization.
  • Advanced ability to build systems, tools, and practices that drive rigor and delivery excellence.
  • Strong communicator and facilitator who can lead through influence and guide alignment among diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigates organizational dynamics with empathy and integrity; fosters psychological safety and inclusive leadership.
  • Advanced ability to builds team capabilities, coaches executives, and champions continuous improvement.
  • Brings external perspective and foresight to shape how Compeer evolves and stays future-ready.
  • Ability to navigates ambiguity and change with confidence and composure; leads through complexity.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Ability to remain objective in balancing business needs and risk.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
  • Leadership skills to select, evaluate, engage, motivate, mentor, train, delegate, reward and lead remote team members.

How we will take care of you:

Our job titles may span more than one career level (associate, senior, principal, etc.). The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

Base Pay

$164,400 - $251,000 USD
