Where you will work: This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The contributions you will make:  This position drives the development and execution of integrated marketing activities along with the marketing operations function to meet strategic objectives and sales goals. Leads the communication for retail marketing strategy, vision and value proposition. Drives strategy, sets priorities, expands capabilities and measures performance for a high-performing team responsible for market planning, content and brand management, process and scoring, marketing automation, technology and events. Manages the marketing operations function responsible for campaign execution and analytics. Directly engages in and has responsibility for all segments of an agile and responsive marketing team that assists in bringing products to market quickly, increasing sales conversions and partners with the events team to bring appropriate client engagement to life.

A typical day: 

  • Champions the brand, serving as a role-model for the vision, mission and values of the organization. Drives implementation of Compeer’s strategic initiatives.
  • Leads executive leadership in defining the overall retail integrated marketing strategy, including target market identification, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborates with executive and sales leaders to ensure marketing initiatives support the sales process.
  • Develops clear and concise positioning that guides messaging and other go-to-market strategies, including well-articulated differentiation that ties back to business value.
  • Keeps abreast of industry best practices, identifying and executing efficient and effective practices that enhance the team’s value.
  • Builds and manages a best-in-class team of marketing experts. Oversees hiring, development and management of brand and communication marketing, working across the organization to develop programs that acquire new clients and maximize existing client relationships.
  • Oversees the allocation of marketing budget to meet financial and strategic goals, ensuring spend is prioritized against company objectives and relevant growth drivers.
  • Promotes a positive work environment that leverages the talents and abilities of team members in achieving organizational and team goals.
  • Develops and manages cohesive, client-focused integrated marketing strategy across retail business units.
  • Drives speed to market for new products and expanded distribution channels with streamlined processes and strong partnerships across the organization.
  • Leads the development of marketing strategies and programs, managing the approach to new client-centric marketing and launch planning.
  • Develops and executes annual and long-range marketing plans based on in-depth understanding of market segmentation, market trends, client needs and competitive position.
  • Optimizes marketing strategy and execution based on analysis of results and outcomes. Continually evaluates and adjusts marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Analyzes client insights and segmentation frameworks to identify and prioritize highest value prospects and existing clients, allocating marketing resources and budget to meet goals.
  • Partners with in-house design team and outside vendors to provide ongoing high-impact creativity.
  • Leads the execution of marketing plans and campaigns across business units to include coaching a team on email/direct mail list pulls, data queries, campaign and site analytics.
  • Works collaboratively with sales teams, technology and data to outline client-focused use cases to enable the data environment needed to execute on our business and marketing priorities.
  • Coaches teams to understand, analyze and optimize site and campaign analytics to improve return on investment.
  • Demonstrates high learning agility related to changing consumer trends, digital trends, media trends and the use of AI associated with best in class integrated marketing.
  • Builds relationships throughout the organization to align priorities to business objectives to drive digital mindset.
  • Provides clear, consistent and frequent messaging regarding key initiatives, business results, changes, process and capability to help all functions and business groups to achieve their goals.
  • Allocates marketing resources to capitalize on segments in a manner that meets bottom line.
  • Collaborates across all marketing groups to define, measure and report ROI and KPI’s of marketing activation programs and campaigns, recommending improvements through program optimization. Continually improves data quality processes and operations for efficiencies, quality improvements and advancements.

The skills and experience we prefer you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, strategic communications, business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a financial services or agricultural environment.
  • Seven years of leadership and management experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Deep knowledge of financial products and services as well a marketing concepts and principles.
  • Proven excellence in product marketing with a strategic, innovative and enterprise-level mindset.
  • Extensive experience in strategic marketing, planning and collaboration with sales.
  • Proven background in leveraging data to inform marketing investments. Salesforce experienced a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, including ability to select, evaluate, engage, motivate, mentor, train, delegate, reward and lead high-performing remote teams.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, fostering collaboration and trust across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Advanced problem solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain objective judgment while balancing business needs with risk considerations.
  • Valid driver’s license.

How we will take care of you:

Our job titles may span more than one career level (associate, senior, principal, etc.). The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

Base Pay

$164,400 - $251,000 USD
