This is a paid internship; however, the intern must provide their own housing and transportation. Business related transportation and expenses will be paid by the organization. This intern will work full-time through the summer of 2027. The internship is located out of our Mankato, MN office location. If pursuing internship credit through your university, it is your responsibility to consult with your advisor and review the internship's job description to ensure it meets the minimum eligibility requirements.
The contributions you will make:
Your day could include analyzing data, reviewing loan documentation or processes, working with a business partner to understand workflow, or helping resolve an operational issue. You may spend part of the day working independently on a project and another part collaborating with teammates or participating in meetings. As you become familiar with the organization, you’ll have opportunities to ask questions, suggest ideas, and take ownership of pieces of your work. By the end of the summer, you’ll have a better understanding of how lending operations teams support agricultural clients and partners and how thoughtful processes, accurate information, and strong collaboration contribute to a successful lending organization.
A typical day:
- Support day-to-day lending operations and activities that help ensure loans are serviced accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with reporting, data analysis, and identifying trends or opportunities for improvement.
- Help review, document and improve business processes, procedures, and workflows.
- Participate in projects designed to improve the customer or team member experience.
- Research and help evaluate solutions to business challenges.
- Research industry standards and best practices for lending operations processes, key metrics, and reporting.
- Assist with other operational priorities that arise throughout the summer.
- Present project findings, recommendations, or results to team members and leaders.
The skills and experience we prefer you have:
- Working towards a degree in ag business, business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or data management.
- Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills, and time management required.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new systems and processes.
- Enjoy working with information, solving problems, and finding ways to make processes better.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team.
- Curious about how businesses operate and how financial services support customers.
How we will take care of you:
Actual hourly rate offered is dependent upon year in school, work experience, transferable skills, business needs and market demands. The hourly rate range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Base Pay
$19 - $20 USD
