Chief of Staff (Insurance Operations) - Phoenix, AZ

Overview
CMIC is seeking a sharp, operations-minded individual contributor to work closely with leadership as we scale a multi-state healthcare organization. This role is designed for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building structure from the ground up, and wants exposure to a growing healthcare business.

You’ll partner directly with leaders across operations, billing, and technology to improve systems, document processes, and drive execution on high-impact initiatives that support growth across new and existing states.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a power user of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, sales operations, technology / point solution integration, process optimization, reporting, and more
  • Build, document, and continuously improve internal SOPs and workflows; key deliverable in Year 1 being buildout of Company Wiki
  • Support operational readiness for new state launches and expansion
  • Partner with administrative, billing, and collections teams to streamline operations and improve efficiency
  • Support data analysis, reporting, and invoicing improvements to enhance visibility and accuracy
  • Help roll out new tools, workflows, and process changes by training and supporting internal teams

Ideal Background

  • 1–4 years of experience in operations, consulting, professional services, or a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong organizational skills with a bias toward execution and follow-through
  • Comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects, and navigating ambiguity
  • Curious, proactive, and motivated by building systems that scale
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, as well as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Quickbooks / accounting software is a major plus
