Job Description 

Comprehensive Mobile Insurance Company (CMIC) is a health insurance carrier with dental, audiology, vision, and podiatry policies that benefit the underserved in long-term-care facilities. Our mission is to serve the underserved. CMIC is seeking a full time VP of Operations and EOS Integrator due to our growth. Our headquarters is located at the 101 and 7th Street in North Phoenix, and CMIC promotes a mission-driven, team-oriented environment. 

The VP of Operations will be responsible for: 

• Company-Wide Operational Excellence – build scalable, repeatable systems and processes across the whole business and ensure that they are followed. Establish effective communication channels throughout the company for cross-functional harmony.   

• Project Management & Accountability – translate strategic vision into actual implementation. Establish clear organizational ownership and accountability with consistently met deadlines.  

• Leadership, People & Culture – maintain existing healthy, mission-driven organizational culture while scaling. Develop direct reports to grow with the organization and lead their functions effectively.  

• Policyholder Conversion & Retention – work with Head of Insurance Operations to ensure customer success throughout policy sale, onboarding, and ongoing payment compliance. 

• Financial Stewardship – oversee budgeting and cashflow forecasting workstreams with CEO & finance team and prudently manage costs through significant growth/scaling.  

• Accurate, Timely KPI & Financial Reporting – develop and maintain real-time reporting for KPIs, profit & loss / cash flow, and operational inputs to manage the business. 

• Data & Systems – oversee the integration, administration, and, when needed, implementation of core technology systems, with focus on Dynamics 365 (sales CRM & policy management system), QuickBooks Desktop, & ePayPolicy 

• Shared Services & External Vendor Management – oversee finance organization and ensure accurate, timely completion of closing books, submitting insurance filings, tax/audit workstreams, etc. Also manage internal relationships for IT/equipment & HR, as well as external relationships for accounting/tax, audit, CRM/technology, banking, investments, legal, and insurance.  

• New State Expansion – oversee the development of insurance operations for new states. 

• Compliance/Regulatory Matters – ensure company-wide adherence to applicable laws and guidelines with respect to insurance, HIPAA/healthcare, payments/financial, and data privacy.

Experience 

Required 

• College graduate, MBA is a plus 

• Prior experience managing/leading teams and developing people 

• Built operating systems and SOPs from scratch; project management experience 

• Previous exposure to accounting, audit and budgeting workstreams  

• Fluency with operating software systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and comfort building views, reports, and dashboards 

Bonus points 

• Direct ownership of a P&L or operating budget 

• Prior experience in consulting, investment banking, or private equity.  

• Experience in healthcare/long-term care or insurance  

• Experience building/managing customer service or call center functions 

• Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Quickbooks Desktop 

• Experience as EOS Integrator
