Job Description

Job Title:         Strategic Growth Director
Location:         Remote

Overview

CompTech is seeking a Strategic Growth Director to lead federal capture and business development in support of DoD and national security missions.

This role requires a hands-on leader with strong DoD relationships, deep knowledge of federal procurement, and the ability to drive opportunity identification, pursuit execution, and proposal development. The Strategic Growth Director will focus growth efforts across mission support, security, and force protection initiatives, with emphasis on cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and multi-domain operations. Please note this is a full-time opportunity and not suitable for individuals seeking work in a Consulting capacity.

Work Scope

  • Identify, qualify, and shape early-stage DoD acquisition opportunities by building and managing a forward-looking capture pipeline. Leverage market intelligence to develop win strategies, define capture plans, influence requirements, and align pursuits with corporate growth objectives and contract vehicles. Engage directly with customers to understand mission needs, priorities, and pain points, both virtually and onsite.

  • Own federal growth by capturing new business and expanding CompTech’s footprint across the DoD (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force), Defense Agencies (DISA, DLA, SOCOM, NSA), and the Intelligence Community, leveraging direct customer access and prioritized contract vehicles.

  • Expand contract vehicles—including IDIQs, GWACs, MACs, BPAs, OTAs, and task-order vehicles—to accelerate pipeline growth, shorten cycles, and increase win rates across DoD and IC customers.

  • Build and convert a high-value pipeline by shaping requirements early, aligning capture strategies to on-ramp and re-compete opportunities, and translating mission needs into differentiated, executable solutions.

  • Drive capture execution end-to-end, from early customer engagement and teaming through proposal, pricing, award, and transition, in close coordination with Operations and Program Management across new awards, recompetes, and option years.

  • Leverage senior-level relationships across the Services, Combatant Commands, Defense Agencies, and IC to influence acquisition strategies, position CompTech on the right vehicles, and create repeatable paths to growth.

  • Scale CompTech’s federal portfolio by anticipating acquisition policy shifts, optimizing vehicle utilization, and delivering disciplined, mission-aligned growth in support of U.S. defense and national security priorities. Contribute to broader business development and operational initiatives as required

Experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in federal business development and capture roles supported by a bachelor’s degree and established DoD customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale DoD and Intelligence Community capture efforts as both a prime and subcontractor.
  • Prior experience as a Growth, Manager, Program Manager, Capture/Proposal Manager or Writer, and/or Contract Manager within the Federal Government landscape.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief senior leadership and Government stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to support a rigorous meeting and travel schedule as required.
  • Must be highly proficient with Government solicitation and acquisition tools
  • S. citizenship required, active or eligible for DoD Secret Security clearance.
  • Prior U.S. military experience preferred.

Salary range: $170k - $180k + Incentive Plan, Benefits, 401k+matching

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
