Engineering Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs and tailor AWS solutions to address business challenges.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions, workshops, and whiteboarding to gather customer requirements.
- Design and present technical solutions, including architecture diagrams, proofs of concept (POC), and demos.
- Develop and deliver technical proposals, including Statements of Work (SOW), cost estimates, and technical documentation.
- Act as a technical advisor, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and AWS solutions including advanced solutions such as: Lambda, Sagemaker, Bedrock and Q.
- Provide competitive insights and articulate the value proposition of AWS services in a clear and compelling manner.
- Implement, configure, and optimize AWS cloud solutions based on customer requirements.
- Implement, configure, and optimize advanced AWS cloud solutions such as Elastic Container Service (ECS), Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), AWS Fargate, AWS App Mesh based on customer requirements.
- Perform migrations, deployments, and integrations of AWS workloads, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Provide detailed technical assessments, readiness evaluations, and risk mitigation plans to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customer stakeholders to design and execute project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive operational tasks and improve system efficiency utilizing AWS services and tools such as: Lambda, Sagemaker, AWS Step Functions, ECS, EKS and AWS Auto Scaling .
- Conduct performance tuning, security hardening, and cost optimization for AWS environments.
- Offer 24/7 on-call support during critical implementation phases or outages when required.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including runbooks, architecture diagrams, and configuration guides.
- Deliver technical training and workshops to customers to enhance their understanding of AWS services and best practices.
- Build long-term relationships with customers by providing ongoing support and proactively identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are required.
- Strong knowledge and provable hands-on experience with all of the following AWS Services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Amazon RDS
- 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud architecture, implementation, or related roles.
- Proven experience in technical consulting roles.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and databases.
- Experience designing scalable, resilient, and secure AWS cloud architectures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, JSON/YAML, JavaScript, PHP or similar languages.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
- Specific hands-on experience with any of these AWS Services: Cloudfront, Autoscaling, Glue, Lambda, Sagemaker, Step Functions, ECS, EKS, Auto Scaling, and API Gateway.
- Experience with industry standards and frameworks such as Well-Architected Framework, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
