Identity Architect
Identity Architect plays a pivotal role in safeguarding enterprise digital assets, fostering a secure and seamless user experience, and ensuring regulatory compliance within an ever-evolving technological landscape. As a technical leader you will drive creation of IAM roadmap, design, and implement cutting-edge and next generation Identity and Access Management platforms for CompuNet customers.
This role is central in maximizing the impact of both internal and customer engineering efforts by offering market insights, technical guidance, and tool development. This includes developing repeatable architecture, best practices, technical documents, and other knowledge transfer materials for internal and external trainings. This role concentrates on working with strategic partners and customers and has deep experience in Identity Architecture. This role will provide pre-sales design and implementation for CompuNet’s customers.
As a technical leader you will drive creation of IAM roadmap, design, and implement cutting-edge and Identity and Access Management platforms.
This role partners with CompuNet’s Engineering teams, Account Executives, Engineering Directors, Managers, and Partnerships, Enablement and Programs (PEP) teams to develop and maintain architecture frameworks that can be standardized, delivered on, and evolve CompuNet’s technology portfolios. The Identity Architect is focused on scaling sales and engineering efforts globally.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the technology landscape and translate those into solutions for our clients and the CompuNet Engineering team
- Build and/or perform quality assurance reviews of repeatable deliverable templates for services
- Involvement with strategic accounts in partnership with local / global market engineering to offer technical guidance, align solutions with business requirements, and gather insights on current and future challenges
- Gather customer requirements, perform white boarding, and communicate designs and strategies to customers. Independently build and/or mentor other engineers or architects with bill of materials, statements of work and technical proposals
- Actively participate in internal steering committees and special projects
- Develop and present technical documents or training for both internal teams and external customers
- Be an active participant in the local and national technology communities and events and present at customer facing events and trade shows
- Participate in discussions on new vendor selection and peer with architects, engineers, and DSPs
- Maintain strategic relationships with CompuNet’s tier1 and tier 2 manufacturer partners.
- Peer with PEP team, architects, and engineering leadership in efforts to create a feedback loop between architecture design and successful delivery of the design
- Participate in and receive mentoring from other Architects, Engineers or Engineering Leadership
- Participate in team and customer functions including calls, meetings, trainings, events, etc.
- Maintain or achieve relevant certifications and assist with vendor compliance requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 8+ years of Security & Identity architecture experience
- Profound understanding of identity management protocols and standards such as FIDO2/WebAuthN, SAML, OAuth, OpenID, Connect, and LDAP, with hands-on expertise in integrating them with Okta and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Proven experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of IT governance and operations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize data to make informed business decisions
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication
- Ability to explain and present complex technical content
- Ability to present in front of large crowds
- Highly competent in technical project and program management, documentation delivery and planning
- Ability to shift focus between competing demands
- Customer service oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and bring order to ambiguous situations
- Ability to travel, as necessary
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of relevant education, training, or experience
- 4+ years’ experience designing and implementing solutions
- 4+ years’ experience in related field with one or more of our key vendors' products.
- 4+ years’ IT operational experience
- 8+ years’ of consulting IT and/or technology reseller experience preferred
- Experience in the automation and orchestration of key IT functions and/or processes preferred
