Senior Account Manager

Position Summary

The Senior Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities while managing and expanding relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with a strong technical understanding of Azure cloud solutions, Cisco technologies, and managed services.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Act as a hunter to identify and pursue new business opportunities in Azure cloud solutions, Cisco technologies, and managed services.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and leveraging existing relationships.
  • Conduct consultative selling to understand client business needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and manage opportunities through the entire sales lifecycle.

Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and identifying upsell opportunities.
  • Proactively engage with clients to understand their business challenges and align solutions to meet their objectives.

Proposal Development & Presentations

  • Develop compelling proposals and pricing strategies for managed services and Azure cloud/Cisco solutions.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations to prospective and existing clients, showcasing the value of the company’s offerings.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and aligned with client needs.

Operational & Administrative Tasks

  • Provide regular sales forecasts and updates to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and sales activities in CRM systems.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and clients to ensure a seamless sales process and post-sales satisfaction.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with technical, marketing, and operations teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to refine go-to-market strategies and offerings.

 

Qualifications

Must-Haves

  • Proven Track Record: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in technical sales or account management, with a focus on MSPs, Azure cloud solutions, and Cisco technologies.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, including migrations, IaaS, and PaaS.
    • Experience selling Cisco networking and security solutions.
    • Familiarity with managed services solution selling.
  • Sales Skills:
    • Demonstrated success in consultative selling and closing complex deals.
    • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executive-level audiences.
  • Proposal Writing: Proficiency in creating detailed, client-focused proposals.
  • CRM Experience: Proficiency in using CRM platforms to manage sales activities and pipelines.

Preferred Skills

  • Industry certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Cisco Certified Sales Expert).
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks like ITIL.
  • Experience in cross-selling additional IT services such as cybersecurity or VoIP.
