
Lease Administrator
Job Overview
The Lease Administrator handles reviewing and interpreting commercial leases, updating and maintaining the accounting software and records with respect to commercial leases, and overseeing calculations of all rental obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed commercial real estate lease abstracts of financial and non-financial lease clauses and upload same into commercial management software
- Understand and monitor lease compliance for all lease-related payments, including base rent, percentage rent
- Manage operating expense (CAM), real estate tax and insurance obligations
- Assist and support all departments in understanding lease documents or providing lease details for due diligence of property evaluations, including, without limitation, completing Tenant/Lease information in estoppels and SNDAs in connection with financings, acquisitions and dispositions
- Assist with tenant account questions and disputes
- Process and monitor leases from post-execution through expiration of lease term
- Generate and post monthly recurring rental charges and receipts
- Review and post annual tenant operating expense and tax reconciliations
- Perform calculations for budgeting potential rent and operating expense/tax recoveries
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of Lease administration experience ideal, minimum of 3 years required
- Thorough understanding of commercial operating expense recoveries required
- Able to interpret and abstract complex commercial lease terminology
- Yardi knowledge required
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency required
- Must be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with high degree of integrity
