We are currently looking to hire a Geopolitical Intelligence Analyst to join our team embedded with our client in Arlington, VA! This position requires working on-site 5 days a week at our client's Headquarters in Arlington, VA.
*Workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, with hours varying based on position needs. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This North America-focused position requires rapid assessments of open-source information to identify potential threats and mitigate identified risks to corporate sites, travelers, and other assets in the United States and Canada. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to multitask, provide deep-dive analysis, and summarize relevant information for other analysts, stakeholders, and senior management. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, think critically, review and assess large datasets, produce well-organized and clearly written products, and prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced and challenging environment that requires significant attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively analyze relevant threats or trends to provide assessments of potentially imminent security situations, sensitive developments, and complex threats in the US and Canada
- Produce cohesive, concise, and comprehensive written products that cover a wide variety of topics, business lines, and threat vectors
- Demonstrate an ability to work independently, think critically, review and assess large data sets, and prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced and challenging environment with strong attention to detail
- Understand the North American security environment, monitor for trends and changes, and deliver customized strategic analysis with little oversight.
- Lead development of new projects, drive analysis, and craft assessments to help inform business decisions
- Triage incoming requests for support, provide timely and pertinent analysis, and coordinate efforts with other departments
- Create maps, graphs, or other visuals to support the team’s product
- Assist with investigations, social media monitoring, and crisis management logistics as needed
- Travel to support global events as needed
- Communicate clearly and build relationships with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (business, international relations, or security-related)
- 2+ years of experience working in an analytical field, including experience with geopolitics, intelligence, economics, and international business
- Experience with open-source research and investigation techniques
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to succinctly summarize and assess information to various stakeholders
- Experience working with highly confidential information
- Experience completing multiple tasks simultaneously and functioning with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated multitasking and critical thinking skills, especially in high-stress situations
- Familiarity with social media monitoring and research
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and help implement new ideas to help drive the program
- This position requires up to 10% travel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with data visualization tools, network analysis, and structured analytical techniques
- Proficient in multiple languages, particularly Spanish or Portuguese
- Master's Degree in International Relations or Business, Security Studies, or Economics

Arlington, VA Pay
$75,000 - $80,000 USD
