We are currently looking to hire a Residential Security Guard to join our team embedded with our client in La Grange, CA! This position requires working on-site with our client in La Grange, CA.

*This is a full-time position that will be working on a team providing 24/7 coverage. Days and hours of work are on a rotating schedule, Monday-Sunday, and may include day, evening, and night shifts, including coverage of weekends and holidays. Schedules will be established in advance. The typical work week will consist of four 12-hour shifts. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Residential Security Guard (RSG) will serve a critical security function while maintaining a customer service-focused approach. The RSG will act as a member of the client’s residential physical security team, providing onsite security services. The individual will monitor access control systems, support incident management, and coordinate emergency response. We are currently looking to fill this position that will be working on a team providing 24/7 coverage. This is a full-time position working 12-hour shifts, including coverage of weekends and holidays. Schedules will be established in advance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties

  • Act to support threat management and emergency response, and be the first point of contact for client safety needs
  • Provide a constant security presence throughout the shift period 
  • Arrive punctually and correctly dressed at the appointed place of duty 
  • Monitor and manage camera system, access control technology, and other security tools
  • Advise and take action addressing unknown visitors, phone calls, and other contacts
  • Maintain excellent rapport and open lines of communication regarding client needs, requests for support, service issues, and deliverables
  • Provide a high standard of customer service delivery for clients, guests, and staff
  • Maintain an accurate record of all contractors or visitors attending/leaving the property 
  • Answer and deal with all telephone enquiries if part of the task role
  • Conduct and document all patrols as stipulated within the appointed premises Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) 
  • Make and receive all “check calls” as directed
  • Send a daily report after completion of the day shift
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions

Responsibilities 

  • Perform your daily duties to the highest professional standards 
  • Maintain awareness of future planning requirements 
  • React quickly and professionally to all emergencies and incidents 
  • Ensure that all client operations are managed/conducted in accordance with SOPs 
  • Ensure that any deviations from the SOPs are immediately documented and reported to the operations centre
  • Ensure that all Incidents are reported and documented in accordance with SOPs
  • Provide an accurate and timely written report in the event of an incident 
  • Assist with implementing any changes at the premises as directed by the management team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years plus security experience
  • CPR/AED Certifications
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Appropriate professional bearing and customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
  • High ethical standards with a proven history of excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort working with senior leadership
  • Staff must be of a physical standard to be able to:
    • Patrol premises on a regular basis
    • Perform stressful and physical activities
    • Assist with heavy deliveries

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Military or police experience
