We are currently looking to hire an Residential Vendor Security Agent to join our team embedded with our client in Malibu, CA!
***This position requires working onsite. This is a full-time position working 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday including coverage on weekends and holidays as needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Vendor Security Agent supports on-site security operations during active construction by controlling vendor access, monitoring personnel movement, and maintaining accountability of individuals, equipment, and materials on the property. This role is responsible for checking construction personnel in and out using a designated access management system, issuing temporary ID badges, and ensuring only authorized vendors are present on site.
The Vendor Security Agent escorts vendors as required, enforces site security and safety procedures, and helps protect facilities and restricted areas throughout the construction phase. The position works closely with facilities, construction management, and security teams to maintain a secure work environment and respond to access issues or incidents as they arise. Accurate documentation, attention to detail, and consistent presence on site are critical to success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify construction vendors have approved access, required documentation, and signed NDAs prior to entry
- Check construction personnel in and out
- Monitor and control vendor entry and exit points during construction activities
- Escort vendors and contractors while on site and enforce security and safety rules
- Maintain accountability of vendor personnel, tools, equipment, and materials on site
- Protect property, facilities, and restricted or sensitive areas during active construction
- Document vendor activity, equipment movement, and security incidents accurately
- Respond to and escalate unauthorized access, policy violations, or security incidents
- Maintain excellent rapport and open lines of communications regarding client needs, requests for support, service issues, and deliverables.
- Provide a high standard of customer service delivery for clients, guests, and staff
- Ensure client deliverables are met across the full suite of security services
- Proactively communicate with clients regarding risks to personnel, property, or privacy
- Assist with customer service issues to ensure a consistently high level of service
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Additional responsibilities when construction vendors are not actively working onsite:
- Monitor and manage camera system, access control technology and other security tools
- Monitor critical facility functions as assigned by the client
- Advise and take action addressing unknown visitors, phone calls, and other contacts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.
- All required licenses and certification requirements, including:
- Currently this is an unarmed position. Current CA state guard card
- Must have current CPR/AED/First Aid certificate
- A successful track record operating within a high-touch, customer service environment

- Ability to adapt well to fast paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
- High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in synthesizing facts, concepts, and principles
- Emotional intelligence and a customer focused approach.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Agent must be of a physical standard to be able to:
- Patrol a large, sprawling property almost entirely on foot, often covering long distances and navigating physically demanding terrain.
- Assist client if injured or need evacuating
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Operational experience with residential security teams, executive protection details and/or high-profile corporate security teams.
- Executive Protection and/or Tactical training (Military/Law Enforcement)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Los Angeles, California Pay Range
$45 - $45 USD
