We are currently looking to hire a Controller to join our Corporate Team in Hereford, England, United Kingdom.
*This position allows for hybrid work arrangements from our Hereford, UK headquarters.
*This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours based on position needs. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Controller will lead the UK and International (Excluding NAFTA) Financial effort in a manner that ensures regulatory compliance, satisfies all external deliverable requirements, strengthen and maintains a strong internal control environment, effectively communicates operational and financial risks, and produces foundational reporting that fosters effective management reporting and provides the visual management metrics to propel continuous process improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for identifying, communicating, and ensuring completion of all activities required for financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Supervising UK-based Finance team members
- Responsible for communicating all regulatory requirements and deadlines and ensuring that all required regulatory filings are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the accuracy of the financial statements for all managed entities.
- Responsible for leading Finance Team projects that drive efficiency, enable the ability to scale, and represent best practices.
- Responsible for establishing, documenting, and providing the necessary training for effective implementation of an internal control framework and controls.
- Assist the CFO as necessary for reporting and ad-hoc initiatives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 8+ years of hands-on accounting managerial experience, including direct Controller experience within an operating company
- CPA Certification (active or inactive status)
- Knowledge of international regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of internal controls and effective internal control design
- Understanding of lean accounting philosophies and application
- Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.
- This position requires up to 5% travel.
