We are currently looking to hire a Pilot to join our team embedded with our client in San Francisco, CA!
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Pilot is responsible for the safe, efficient, and discreet operation of aircraft in support of a high-net-worth family’s travel needs. This role manages all aspects of flight operations, including planning, execution, and post-flight activities, while ensuring full compliance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations. The pilot delivers a seamless, white-glove travel experience, maintains the highest standards of safety and professionalism, and operates with flexibility in a dynamic, on-demand environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operate aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company policies
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures
- Perform flight planning, including weather analysis, routing, fuel requirements, and alternates
- Ensure passenger safety, comfort, and discretion at all times
- Maintain situational awareness and sound decision-making under all conditions
- Oversee aircraft cleanliness, readiness, and presentation to executive standards
- Coordinate and liaise with maintenance providers
- Track and ensure compliance with inspection schedules, airworthiness directives, and maintenance logs
- Maintain accurate aircraft records and documentation
- Manage flexible, on-demand flight schedules, often with short notice
- Coordinate international and domestic trip logistics (permits, slots, customs, catering, crew accommodations)
- Work closely with family staff (executive assistants, security teams, household managers)
- Ensure seamless end-to-end travel experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.
- Operates in a private aviation setting, including aircraft cockpits, Fixed Base Operators (FBOs), and private terminals
- Adequate vision (correctable), hearing, and color perception for safe flight operations
- Ability to sit for extended periods and remain alert during long or irregular duty hours
- Sufficient mobility and dexterity to operate aircraft controls and access confined cockpit spaces
- Ability to lift and carry up to ~50 lbs (e.g., luggage, equipment)
- Physical stamina to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and travel across time zones
- Capability to perform emergency procedures and operate safety equipment
- Advanced piloting proficiency and sound aeronautical decision-making
- Strong knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration regulations, airspace, and safety procedures
- Flight planning expertise, including weather analysis and risk assessment
- Excellent situational awareness and problem-solving under pressure
- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with hours based on position needs. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
- This position requires up to 100% travel.

$225,000 - $225,000 USD
