JOB DESCRIPTION

The GSOC Manager is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of a 24/7 Global Security Operations Center that serves as the operational intake, triage, escalation, and coordination hub for Global Security. The GSOC Manager ensures the team delivers timely, accurate security monitoring, incident response, intelligence support, escalation management, and operational coordination. This individual will use intelligence sources, internal and external assets, and open-source media to identify threats and provide timely and accurate information to company leadership.

This is a people-leadership role: the GSOC Manager maintains a high-performing, resilient embedded team environment and works closely with Concentric and client leadership to support GSOC objectives and address emerging risks. The role oversees the GSOC's emergency response procedures for critical incidents, including political instability, violence, travel alerts, health concerns, man-made or natural disasters, internal threats, or technical failures. Working within established procedures and escalation protocols, the GSOC Manager coordinates the response, validates information, maintains situational awareness, communicates with and escalates to leadership, and supports the responsible business and functional teams through resolution. The GSOC Manager carries direct supervisory responsibility for a shift-based team of GSOC Operators and Analysts, to include hiring, coaching, performance management, and scheduling to ensure 24/7 coverage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with internal teams and tasking groups (intelligence, investigations, operations) to ensure successful, quality-controlled completion of GSOC assignments, fostering collaborative team dynamics.
  • Manage the GSOC as the central intake, triage, escalation, and coordination point for security-related incidents, requests, alerts, and operational information, ensuring matters are appropriately categorized, prioritized, assigned, escalated, and tracked through closure.
  • Ensure GSOC personnel consistently follow established procedures, protocols, and operational standards, and monitor the quality, timeliness, and accuracy of security monitoring, reporting, intelligence, and incident response activities.
  • When clear guidance is not available, determine the appropriate course of action within established GSOC procedures and escalation protocols, provide instruction to the team, escalate to Global Security leadership as appropriate, and provide clear and informed briefings to leadership.
  • Evaluate and recommend process-improvement strategies to strengthen GSOC operations and performance.
  • Serve as the day-to-day operational point of coordination with the client's Global Security leadership and key internal stakeholders, ensuring professional communication and prompt resolution of operational concerns.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and post-incident After-Action Reviews (AARs) to identify operational gaps, refine response procedures, and brief leadership on findings.
  • Draft emergency mass notifications and crisis communications and disseminate them when authorized under established protocols, and prepare concise status and incident reports for multiple stakeholders.
  • Support the evaluation, implementation, adoption, and effective operational use of technology, automation, analytics, and other capabilities that improve intelligence gathering, situational awareness, communication, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide direct leadership and performance management to GSOC personnel, establishing clear expectations, priorities and accountability in coordination with Concentric leadership.
  • Lead full-cycle people management- interviewing, onboarding, training, coaching, performance reviews and measurable development plans.
  • Ensure the team maintains a high level of professionalism, situational awareness, and operational discipline.
  • Oversee quality control of GSOC products, liaise on a regular basis with partner teams to review and update processes and protocols. Identify gaps in processes and resources, develop solutions to address these gaps as part of the larger Concentric strategy. Coordinate a monthly meeting with all tasking teams to go over upcoming projects and foster continuous feedback.
  • Monitor and report GSOC operational performance through established KPIs and service levels, including response and escalation timeliness, reporting quality, staffing and coverage, incident handling, and other agreed performance measures.
  • Facilitate GSOC shifts and ensure the shift schedule provides 24/7 coverage, ensuring thorough shift handoffs to main continuity of ongoing incidents.
  • Maintain GSOC operational continuity and resilience, including staffing contingencies, technology disruptions, alternate procedures, and continuity of critical monitoring and communications capabilities.
  • Ensure the team documents incidents and escalations per GSOC reporting standards (shift logs, SITREPs, after-action reports), maintains SOPs, and appropriately escalates incidents, threats, and critical events to senior leadership.
  • Ensure the team monitors CCTV, access control, and alarm systems, and effectively uses travel risk management platforms to track and issue timely emergency alerts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
