We are currently hiring a JSOC Shift Lead to join our team embedded with our client!

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position provides shift-level leadership and operational coordination within the JSOC. The Lead will help prioritize incidents, assign responsibilities, and maintain continuity across the JSOC to ensure that threats to employees, operations, global assets, and the brand are identified and reported to company leadership in a timely and accurate manner, 24/7.

The JSOC Lead will serve as the first escalation point for Operators, support quality control and shift handoffs, and provide guidance during critical or time-sensitive incidents. The threats and critical incidents that the JSOC tracks, disseminates, and manages include political instability, violence, travel alerts, health concerns, man-made or natural disasters, internal threats or technical failures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide shift-level leadership and coordinate JSOC operations during assigned shifts.
  • Prioritize incoming incidents and threat information and assign responsibilities to Operators.
  • Serve as the first escalation point for Operators on threats, incidents, and procedural questions.
  • Provide guidance and direction to Operators during critical or time-sensitive incidents.
  • Review Operator reporting for accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Conduct and document shift handoffs to maintain continuity of operations.
  • Escalate complex or significant events to the JSOC Supervisor.
  • Perform JSOC Operator functions as needed, including monitoring, intelligence collection, travel security, and reporting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, international security, political science, or a related field.
  • Military service or prior experience working in a JSOC, GSOC or similar operations center may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a JSOC, GSOC or similar operations center.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred 3 years of demonstrated experience doing the following:
    • Coordinating shift operations and incident response in an operations center
    • Prioritizing incidents and assigning responsibilities during time-sensitive events
    • Reviewing operational reporting for accuracy and adherence to procedures
    • Conducting shift handoffs and maintaining operational continuity
    • Guiding and supporting less-experienced team members
    • Effective assessment and evaluation of sensitive situations
