
Commissioning Manager
About the Position:
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and competition of commissioning activities
- Ensure compliance with project timeline, budget constraints, and quality standards
- Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance on various design, installation, and integration issues
- Validate equipment against design specifications and drawings during Factory Accept Tests
- Develop, review, and approve commissioning and operational plans, ensuring data integrity and work is compliant with all applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for commissioning activities
- Ability to track commissioning performance across different operational parameters
- Analyze, evaluate, and interpret data obtained during testing and commissioning
- Review project design and controls specifications
- Develop and oversee configuration, testing specifications, and readiness plans
- Lead client discussions to address concerns and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize project efficiency and resource allocation
- Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and excellence
- Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Investigate and report any safety incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Able to operate a company vehicle in a safe manner as well as maintain a clean driving record
- Possess a strong understanding of power generation and oil and gas field operations
- Troubleshoot technical issues including Mechanical, Electrical, and/or PLC and DCS controls, logic, PID tuning, and advanced control systems
- Stay on top of industry trends and technological advancements to enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field OR Equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in power generation or oil and gas field operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of MTU, Jenbacher, or CAT power equipment a plus
Location: Midland, TX
