Reports to: VP, Global People Partner
A quick snapshot…
As a Principal People Partner at Conga, you’ll provide hands-on and strategic support to a globally dispersed colleague group focused on internal customer experience and partnership for one of our business units. As you develop relationships, you will be a trusted partner to provide insight and guidance on best practices that align with business objectives and goals. You’ll also help facilitate and execute programs to drive colleague experience and growth.
Why it’s a big deal…
You’ll play a vital role in the People team, which has a large hand in influencing executive-level decisions that impact the organization across all levels. As we continue to grow, you’ll help in fostering the development, growth, and success of the company and our Conganeers.
Here’s the person we’re looking for…
Related experience. You’ve spent a minimum of 8 years in HR roles, holding responsibilities relating to performance management, career development, and talent assessment. You can identify training needs, evaluate development programs, and monitor and improve the productivity of employees across an organization. Maybe you’ve also applied compensation benchmarking and analytics in the past. You have a deep understanding of industry best practices, and advanced skills to lead and drive change in client groups by proactively anticipating future needs. Previous experience in Workday is beneficial.
Influence change. You take the initiative to understand the business’s needs and challenges, maybe more than they understand it themselves. You form quality, robust recommendations through the knowledge you acquire, data sources, and existing processes – and you use those recommendations to create scalable solutions that will help immediately and in the future. You bring strategic insights, drive game-changing decisions at executive leadership levels, and participate in creating a strategy for the entire People Partner team. Because of the transparency, authenticity, humility, and knowledge you bring, your peers, partners, and business leaders trust the information you provide to influence key decisions.
Confident and deliberate communicator. You have a point of view and perspective that you’re comfortable defending to peers, partners, and business leaders. It’s a confidence that comes from experience. You’re at ease with lively debate, in fact, you welcome different views. Your points are clear and concise. And you’re equally as respected for your knowledge and expertise as for your style and approach.
Expert relationship builder and customer service enthusiast. It’s important that you genuinely enjoy building relationships. It’s not enough to simply be nice to others and enjoy working with others –the right person will be truly interested in getting to know their peers and business partners, in an effort to provide the highest level of service and support. Your knowledge and enthusiasm to engage across the People function will likely set you up as a mentor for People Partners on the team.
Education. Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
Willingness to travel. Let’s face it – our Conganeers are global, and we need to support all of them. There will be about 10% travel required (US and international) for in-person strategy meetings.
Here’s what will give you an edge…
Innovative Thinking. As people evolve, so does our People Team and processes. You should want to take the initiative to research new processes and take accountability of programs that can impact the organization to improve the way we achieve together and take care of our Conganeers.
Resourceful & Collaborative. At Conga, we achieve together-- when you have questions, you find answers; when you’re faced with challenges, you find solutions. You turn to a variety of resources, including your colleagues, and professional network -- whatever helps you get the job done. Then you apply that knowledge across the business where it makes sense.
