The Senior BI Analyst plays a critical role in enabling data‑driven decisions by delivering meaningful insights across the organization. This position leads to the development of executive ready dashboards, deep dive analyses, and performance metrics, translating business questions into analytical solutions. The role collaborates cross functionally, influences stakeholders through storytelling with data, and drives continuous improvement in reporting and analytics practices.

A Senior BI Analyst will influence key decisions, shape how leaders consume and trust data, and own high visibility analytics that directly impact business outcomes. You’ll move beyond reporting to drive insights, set BI standards, and act as a trusted partner to stakeholders, while continuing to grow your technical and strategic expertise.
Are you the person we’re looking for?
Related Experience: You must have minimum 5 years of experience in Power BI. You should be able to Build efficient Power BI calculations and reporting for business teams and leadership utilizing design for action principles and visualization best practices.
Develop Reports. You must know how to Develop Power BI self-service reports and deep dive analysis designed to answer key strategic questions and provide actionable insights for stakeholders. You will also decide the optimal data sets and transformations necessary to best answer questions and provide actionable insights
Analysis. You know how to independently analyze large data sets to identify patterns and relationships that can be used to inform decision-making. You also Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency or automate manual processes, make recommendations and implement independently. You will perform exploratory analysis to identify patterns and trends of interest for business teams
Power BI & Reporting Skills: You are good in Advanced Power BI expertise, including Building optimized DAX calculations and data models, implementing visualization best practices and design for action principles, Developing executive level dashboards, and self-service datasets, and detailed analytical reports.
You are strong ability to design and develop data models, choose optimal data structures, and determine required data transformations to answer key business questions. You are able to conduct deep dive analysis to uncover drivers, trends, and insights that inform strategic decisions.
Quality. You know how to do a complete Quality Assurance check on work products for both mathematical and practical validation of results and provide peer QA for other analysts. You can
independently gather and combine data from different data sources, prepare data for analysis
Education. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
Here’s what will give you an edge…
Analytical & Statistical Skills. You have ability to perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to detect trends, correlations, anomalies, and opportunities. You have strong understanding of analytical frameworks, KPI creation, and performance measurement and Familiarity with basic statistical methods used for pattern identification and hypothesis validation.
Data Handling & Preparation. You are proficient in working with large, complex data sets from multiple sources, including:
- Independently extracting, joining, and cleansing data1
- Preparing data for analysis using ETL/ELT processes
You have strong SQL skills (e.g., T-SQL, Snowflake SQL, PostgreSQL) for querying and transforming data. You are also good in using data integration tools (e.g., Power Query, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, or equivalent).
Strategic Business Partnership. You will partner closely with business teams to deeply understand their challenges, priorities, and operational needs, ensuring analytics solutions directly address real business problems.
Automation & Efficiency. You are experienced in identifying opportunities to automate manual processes in reporting, data preparation, or analysis workflows. You are able to design and implement repeatable, scalable analytical solutions that reduce manual effort and improve data availability.
Natural collaborator. You work effectively with data engineers, Business Analysts and Product Managers to translate ambiguous questions into clear analytical requirements You are proficient with Agile and a collaborative cross functional approach to building awesome BI solutions. You are comfortable working with teams and collaborating on best practices across multiple Agile teams. You constantly seek opinions and solicit feedback to create the best work possible. You don’t know any other way. It’s a team effort and you completely appreciate that.
Tools & Technologies. You must have good knowledge in Power BI (Advanced), SQL (Advanced), Excel (Advanced) including Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas, Data Warehousing platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar) and Version control tools such as Git
Good to have skills. It is good if you have worked on Python or R for data manipulation or exploratory analytics or ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Matillion, Fivetran, etc.)
