Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of driving innovation and shaping the future of cutting-edge products. You’ll lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI), New Technology Investigation (NTI), and technical collaboration with third-party partners, guiding projects from concept to launch.

In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Engineering and Product teams, ensuring seamless alignment between evolving project requirements and the technical features of NPI/NTI processes. Your work will not only fuel successful product launches but also ensure smooth post-launch operations.

With a strong background in Electrical Engineering and a knack for managing complex technical initiatives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you’ll be a key player in transforming ideas into reality, pushing boundaries, and driving technological advancements.

 

**This is a hybrid position, which requires a minimum of 3 days per week in our Philadelphia, PA Office**

Core Functions/Duties  

  • Serve as the primary technical resource support between ConnectDER and its partners, addressing technical challenges and/or requirements.
  • Lead end-to-end partner integration projects, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Product to triage questions and issues
  • Answer highly technical electrical and mechanical product integration questions with minimal support
  • Serve as the key contributor on technology feasibility studies and technical risk mitigation teams 
  • Lead NPI BOM creation, structuring and management
  • Lead Prototype and Alpha build procurement management
  • Lead, track and manage key engineering NPI/NTI project deliverables
  • Proactively engage with the design validation testing (DVT) team to ensure alignment and minimize gaps with required engineering deliverables
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives
  • Lead engineering related projects and design development activities within the NPI/NTI processes
  • Work cross functionally to assist supply chain with vendor identification and qualification
  • Provide product regulatory certification support to Nationally Recognized Testing Labs (NRTL) and partners as needed
  • Support customers, sales and distributors with information, application knowledge and product data 
  • Establish and document integration processes, FAQs, and conduct lessons learned to enhance the partner integration process. 
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement of integration and project management practices. 

 

Compensation range for this role begins at $125,000 + bonus + equity

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, required
  • Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline and/or PMP certification, preferred

Required Experience

  • 8+ years Engineering experience with a strong background in electrical engineering and program/project management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes for electrical products, including the integration of these products with other technologies.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience delivering solutions in the solar, renewable, and/or Distributed Energy Resource (DER) industry. 
  • Experience with Electrical Power Utility applications.

US Salary Range

$125,000 - $135,000 USD
