About the Job

The Treasury Coordinator is responsible for the meticulous handling of all cash operations, which includes counting, organizing, and safeguarding cash assets. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the financial integrity and efficiency of the organization. The Treasury Coordinator assists the Management Team with balancing all incoming and outgoing cash transactions, and to ensure all cash operations are handled efficiently, accurately, and timely. The Treasury Coordinator is responsible for counting all daily sales, daily collections, balancing the safe, logging all transactions, scanning in all product receipts into the POS system, scanning all manifests and invoices for documentation, fix cash discrepancies with POS drawers, preparing vendor payments, prepare bank deposits and intercompany funds transfers, maintain the safe accounting log, and other duties as assigned.

 

What You Will Do

  • Cash Operations: Accurately count, organize, and ensure the safekeeping of cash. Implement and adhere to strict cash handling procedures to prevent discrepancies and losses.
  • Travel and Administration: This position requires traveling to multiple company locations to perform essential administrative duties. These include opening and organizing mail, scanning various documents, and executing ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Data Entry and Record Keeping: Perform precise data entry tasks. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all transactions and cash handling activities.
  • Communication: Exhibit excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, management, and external stakeholders. Ensure clarity and accuracy in all forms of communication.
  • Project Management: Handle and contribute to various projects, displaying flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Performs all front-of-house and back-of-house store functions that involve cash.
  • Maintains vendor payment calendars and prepares weekly payments, issues payouts to vendors with proper cash handling practices for Connected.
  • Completes daily count of the cash safe and ensures that it is balanced with accounting bank records, MKB.
  • Maintains, scans and uploads all financial documents including precise record keeping in the respective areas.
  • Performs a weekly cash count and has it verified with the Manager on Duty.
  • Processes customer payments – cash and checks.
  • Collecting Sac mail, pulling checks, scanning daily to Team and preparing mail for transfer.
  • Prepares banking for Treasury and Intercompany transfers.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor during periods of high volume or stressful situations while setting a positive example for the team.
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality and flexible availability Monday through Friday with some weekend and holiday requirements.
  • Compliance and Audit Support.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management.

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Experience in cash handling and administrative roles required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in using Google Suite, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry is preferred.
  • Must possess proficient English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner.
  • Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of self-development.

 

Compensation:The hourly pay range for this position in the selected city is: $22.00- $25.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

 

Physical Requirements/Workplace Environment

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Requires normal hearing range.
  • Workplace is an office setting.
