About the Job

We are seeking a Sr Cultivation Analyst to help guide improvements and decision making within our business. This technical analyst will be pivotal in data management, capture, and movement of the cultivation operations. Partnering with the SVP, Cultivation and General Managers, and the Sales and Operations teams, this individual will be a key player in improving our analytics, planning, and reporting efforts.

The Sr Cultivation Analyst will own the cultivation data processes associated with Connected’s analytics, systems, and cultivation groups. Including, but not limited to: cultivation based METRC compliance, Acumatica ERP operations, data warehousing and infrastructure, replatforming systems, new ERP implementation, product forecasting, data collection and analysis. A successful candidate will use analytical tools such as Google Sheets, Tableau, Excel, and SQL.

What You Will Do

  • Be the cultivation analytics, planning, and movements expert. Lead and assist in inventory, supply, and allocation planning process across Connected’s portfolio, working closely with department leaders across all stages of the cannabis lifecycle
  • Prepare actuals vs. forecast analysis with root cause detail in partnership with Cultivation management
  • Develop and implement improvements on the current cultivation planning process, schedules, and data infrastructure
  • Partner with Cultivation on analytics reporting, including daily movement tracking and review
  • Utilize advanced methods of forecasting and analysis, such as variability and statistical modeling, to drive accuracy and efficiency at the strain, yield, and capacity levels
  • Drive and participate in cross-functional team meetings with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Cultivation to develop best in class planning, including monthly and quarterly forecasts
  • Manage several, high impact projects simultaneously and communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to diverse senior stakeholders.
  • Analyzes production data to make recommendations on productivity and efficiency metrics.
  • Tracks and reports key performance metrics for the cultivation department, and actively looks and makes suggestions for improvements.
  • Promptly escalates any issues that arise and help perform root cause analysis, and implements corrections and corrective actions when issues arise. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Business or a related quantitative field required OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or CPG is highly preferred.
  • Cannabis experience a plus
  • Excellent computer and mathematics skills, as well as data analysis; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets required and strong experience working with large-scale datasets and multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc), relational databases, SQL, google sheets/Excel, and ERP systems
  • Previous experience or education in indoor/outdoor agriculture or manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills.
  • Experienced relationship with internal team and external partners.
  • Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements.
  • Comfortable learning new technologies.
  • Aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting and ability to recommend to management well thought out recommendations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills, 
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and remain calm under pressure
  • Strongly committed to providing high quality products to clients including the packing and presentation of the products.

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.

Compensation Description (annually): The salary range for this position in the selected city is $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
