About the Job
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Support Specialist with a passion for the cannabis industry to join the Connected and Alien Labs Sales team in California. The Sales Support Specialist will be a detail-oriented, independently motivated candidate who will assist with inventory tracking, order input, credit requests, and proactive stock-out prevention. A successful candidate will build rapport with customers, have strong computer skills, and be driven to achieve revenue goals. This is not a remote position—this role will report to the Connected Corporate offices in Sacramento, with limited travel in the future.
What You Will Do
- Inputting orders as directed.
- Process credit requests as directed.
- Monitor retailer inventory to flag potential stock-outs and recommend early reorders
- Managing and updating Account details within a CRM
- Managing orders through Acumatica (ERP) and communicating order status, changes, delivery dates and times with customers and Connected operations teams.
- Answering customers' questions and sending additional information per email.
- Communicating via calls, text, and social media platforms with top customers for reorders, new points of distribution, and support needs.
- Collaborates with Sales Representatives on customer and vendor inquiries and issues.
- Manages customer issues and provides creative solutions to address problems and opportunities.
- Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
- Staying informed about competing products and services.
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma/GED.
- Previous experience of selling Cannabis is a plus, but not required. Cannabis knowledge IS required.
- Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position preferred.
- Proficiency in Acumatica ERP strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Workspace, especially in advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills is required
- Experience with CRM software is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with AI tools for data management, productivity and process efficiency is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent phone and email skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to handle high volume of phone calls, emails, and texts while keeping organized.
- Strong listening and sales skills.
- Ability to achieve targets.
- Subject to background check per state cannabis requirements.
- 21 years and over.
Compensation Description (hourly): The hourly pay range for this position in the selected city is $25.00 - $28.00.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
