
Proposal & Content Strategy Associate
What You'll Do:
The Proposal & Content Strategy Associate is responsible for leading the development of high-quality, competitive RFP responses and creating strategic external-facing content that supports organizational growth. This role serves as a key partner to Business Development and the broader Growth team, translating complex clinical, operational, and strategic information into clear, compelling narratives that drive business development success.
As the organization continues to build a scalable and internally owned RFP function, this role will also play a critical part in developing reusable content, improving consistency, and strengthening overall market positioning.
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled writer with experience managing complex, deadline-driven projects, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to synthesize technical or clinical information into persuasive, audience-ready content.
- RFP Development & Management
- Lead the end-to-end development of RFP responses, ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment with organizational strategy
- Draft, edit, and finalize responses incorporating input from SMEs and leadership
- Manage timelines, milestones, and submission deadlines to ensure on-time delivery
- Translate complex clinical, operational, and business concepts into clear, compelling narratives
- Ensure consistency with organizational voice, value proposition, and strategic priorities
- Coordinate cross-functional input while minimizing disruption to internal stakeholders
- Content Strategy & Development
- Develop and maintain a centralized, reusable content library (boilerplate, data points, prior responses)
- Continuously refine and update content to reflect current offerings, outcomes, and positioning
- Support development of white papers, executive summaries, and other external-facing materials
- Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and brand voice across all deliverables
- Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and enhance RFP processes, templates, and standard operating procedures
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve turnaround time
- Leverage tools and technology to increase efficiency and scalability
- Track feedback and continuously improve content quality and response effectiveness
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Business Development to align RFP responses with pipeline strategy and priorities
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Work with Marketing & Communications, Payer Contracting, Government Affairs, and Corporate Development as needed
- Build strong SME relationships to enable efficient information gathering and response development
- Strategic Support
- Support Business Development leadership by enabling focus on strategy and external engagement
- Elevate the quality, consistency, and competitiveness of all RFP submissions
- Contribute to long-term capability building through content standardization and knowledge capture
- Strengthen overall market positioning through high-quality, strategic messaging
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- This is a fully remote position in the following states:

What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in proposal writing, grant writing, technical writing, or similar role
- Experience managing complex, deadline-driven writing projects with multiple stakeholders
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to translate technical or complex information into clear, compelling content
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally and managing input from diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

It would be great if you had:
- Experience in healthcare or behavioral health
- Familiarity with proposal management tools or content management systems
- Experience building or maintaining content libraries or knowledge repositories
