
IT Project Manager (Full-time, Remote)
What You'll Do:
The IT Project Manager serves as a strategic partner to the VP of Information Technology Services, responsible for coordinating and driving delivery across the full enterprise IT project portfolio. This role provides the VP of Information Technology with the operational visibility, organizational bandwidth, and execution support needed to lead a complex, multi-initiative technology program. In addition to owning project delivery, the IT Project Manager supports executive communications, governance cadences, and portfolio-level tracking, functioning as a trusted extension of IT leadership.
The role spans the full breadth of the IT portfolio: EHR and clinical systems initiatives, infrastructure and security projects, data infrastructure, and cross-functional enterprise programs. The IT Project Manager brings structure, accountability, and clear communication to complex efforts in a fast-paced, multi-site healthcare environment.
Executive Partnership & Governance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project status across all assigned initiatives
- Serve as the primary IT point of contact for the Director of Operations, maintaining a close partnership to ensure resource allocations, timelines, and delivery status across the enterprise initiative portfolio remain current and aligned
- Facilitate steering committee meetings, working sessions, and cross-functional project reviews
- Escalate risks and blockers with clear mitigation options; keep leadership informed without surprises
- Support IT leadership in preparing IT Governance Committee materials, executive status updates, and board-level reporting
- Maintain portfolio-level visibility across all active IT initiatives; surface conflicts, dependencies, and capacity issues proactively
- Act as a coordination point between IT and senior organizational leadership on strategic initiative progress
Portfolio Delivery
- Own end-to-end project delivery across the full IT portfolio: EHR and clinical systems, infrastructure, security and compliance, and data initiatives
- Lead projects from initiation through closure, applying waterfall, agile, or hybrid methodology as project needs dictate
- Develop and maintain charters, schedules, resource plans, and status reports; manage scope, budget, risks, and issues across concurrent initiatives
- Serve as technical PM for EHR implementations, upgrades, integrations, and adjacent clinical system deployments
- Coordinate across IT, Clinical Operations, and business stakeholders to align on requirements, timelines, and go-live readiness; facilitate change management in partnership with operational leads
- Manage delivery coordination for security, infrastructure, and compliance initiatives — including HITRUST certification, AI enablement, and data infrastructure — in partnership with domain leads
- Coordinate internal IT resources and third-party vendors to deliver against project commitments
Process & Standards
- Establish and mature project management practices, templates, and documentation standards within the IT department
- Contribute to the development of a repeatable project delivery model as the team scales
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of project management experience, with demonstrated delivery of IT projects
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities

It would be great if you had:
- Experience in behavioral health, ambulatory care, or multi-site healthcare organizations
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (current and active)
- Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)
- Familiarity with HITRUST, HIPAA, or healthcare compliance frameworks
- Experience working in or coordinating with remote, geographically distributed teams
