
Senior Infrastructure Administrator
What You'll Do:
The Senior Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for the stability, performance, and security of the organization's infrastructure and data platforms. This role serves as a senior technical authority across infrastructure, cloud, database, and integration domains, ensuring reliable systems and scalable data pipelines. The position also provides mentorship and technical guidance to IT staff while driving continuous improvement and automation.
Systems & Infrastructure Administration
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (patching, lifecycle, configuration)
- Manage Azure cloud infrastructure (VMs, storage, networking, Azure AD)
- Support hybrid and on-prem infrastructure components
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Manage virtualization platforms and coordinate with vendors
- Own backup and disaster recovery strategy and testing
- Monitor system performance and resolve incidents
Database Administration
- Administer and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Perform performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Design backup, recovery, and high availability strategies
- Manage database security and access control
- Support application teams with schema and data changes
Data Integration & Automation
- Design and maintain automated data pipelines
- Develop integrations using APIs, ETL, SFTP, and Azure tools
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance
- Improve and automate manual data processes
Security & Compliance
- Apply security best practices across systems and data platforms
- Support vulnerability remediation and audits
- Enforce least-privilege access principles
Mentorship & Collaboration
- Mentor junior and mid-level IT staff
- Provide technical leadership and best practices
- Contribute to documentation and internal knowledge base
- Performs all other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, database, or data engineering roles
- Strong Windows Server administration experience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- SQL Server administration and performance tuning experience
- Experience with data pipelines and integrations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
It would be great if you had:
- Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, AZ-900, DP-203 or similar)
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or scripting
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or Functions
- Experience with ITSM and change management
- Experience in multi-site organizations
- Exposure to security/compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST)
