BI Specialist – Professional Services

We are excited to launch a new professional services division, aimed at empowering our clients with customized Business Intelligence (BI) solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and improve operational efficiency. We’re looking for a seasoned BI Specialist to lead the creation and delivery of operational and financial dashboards that provide our clients with valuable, actionable insights.

In this hybrid role, you’ll primarily focus on client-facing BI projects within our new professional services offering, reporting to the VP of Products. There will also be opportunities to contribute to internal BI initiatives as time allows. Working closely with the Customer Experience (CX) team, you’ll develop scalable, impactful BI solutions tailored to meet each client’s needs and support their growth.

What you will do as ourBI Specialist – Professional Services: 

  • Develop tailored operational and financial dashboards to meet client-specific needs, ensuring insights that are immediately actionable based on client type and maturity. 
  • Design and implement real-time dashboards available as both pre-built solutions and customizable options, giving clients flexibility based on their operational requirements. 
  • Conduct in-depth data analyses and provide strategic recommendations to enhance client decision-making, focusing on improving the guest experience and operational performance. 
  • Collaborate with the CX team to support the client experience and identify opportunities for upsell, expansion, and added value through BI solutions. 
  • Train clients with a creator license on building dashboards within Sigma solutions, enabling them to independently leverage BI capabilities.

  • Support internal BI projects when time permits, contributing to data initiatives that drive insights across Connect&GO. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Operational and Financial Dashboards: Work closely with clients to understand their operations and design dashboards that offer tailored insights based on their specific needs and maturity level, including key performance indicators (KPIs) that directly impact revenue, efficiency, and guest experience. 
  • Real-Time Dashboard Development: Build customizable real-time dashboards, providing clients with pre-built options or bespoke designs to ensure continuous, accurate data flow and monitoring for informed operational decisions. 
  • Strategic Recommendations & Analysis: Leverage in-depth analysis of client data to provide strategic guidance, helping clients use insights to optimize guest experience, drive revenue, and improve operational success. Develop reusable analytical frameworks for efficient and consistent reporting across similar client types. 
  • Client Onboarding & Support for BI Services: Lead the BI onboarding and training process for Professional Services clients, guiding them on dashboard use and ensuring alignment with their goals. Standardize onboarding resources and materials for consistency and efficiency. 
  • Collaboration with CX and Product Teams: Partner with the CX team to deliver impactful BI solutions, supporting PS client satisfaction, expansion opportunities, and CX-led growth initiatives. Collaborate with the product team on internal projects when time allows, contributing to Connect&GO’s own BI advancements. 

 

What you will need to succeed: 

  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or data science, ideally with client-facing experience in the attractions, tourism, or hospitality sectors. 
  • Expertise in BI tools, with experience ideally in Sigma and Snowflake, and proficiency in SQL and data visualization techniques, with a focus on transforming data into actionable insights. 
  • Experience in dashboard creation for operational and financial metrics, with a proven ability to customize solutions based on client-specific requirements. 
  • Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into a clear narrative that guides clients in understanding their data’s impact on operational and guest-facing decisions. 
  • Data-driven mindset with a strong ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights for improving operational and guest-facing outcomes. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively. 
  • Project management skills, with experience managing multiple client projects, balancing priorities, and delivering on time. 
  • Bilingual (French & English) is an asset, given Connect&GO’s diverse client base. 
  • Industry Experience: Experience in attractions, tourism, or related industries is a plus, as is familiarity with the unique BI needs of these sectors. 

 

Montreal pay range

$85,000 - $90,000 CAD
