General Summary:

The Team Leader of User Experience is responsible for mentoring entry level and experienced UI and UX designers in a fast-paced SaaS/Agile environment to create a best-in-class user experience for our ConnectWise suite of web applications. This role supports cross-functional teams to create a superior user experience for multiple products across platforms.

 

Working Conditions:

• Pune / Mumbai (Hybrid depending on location)

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sets day to day operational objectives for the UX team

• Supervises support and/or professional level colleagues

• Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders

• Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team

• Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team of UI and UX Designers

• Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency

• Guides the product teams to understand our partners and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback

• Collaborates with product managers, engineers, architects, and designers to understand the product requirements, use cases and user journeys to produce a superior user experience

• Embeds design-thinking processes around user research, rapid prototyping, testing & iteration

• Maintains design consistency, utilizing our DSM, defined patterns, interaction design, etc.

• Designs or delivers feedback on anything from workflows and wireframes to prototypes

• Ensures all design deliverables are completed on time and accurately

 

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

• Exceptional leadership and customer service skills

• Willingness to work in a team environment

• Strong organizational skills to give the team direction

• Professional presence suitable for interaction in meetings, in-person, or via email

• Excellent presentation and communication skills

• Management skills to oversee direct reports, deliver updates, and track progress

• Skilled in managing and collaborating with a remote team

• Aptitude to make decisions from a data-driven perspective

• Comprehensive design portfolio displaying recent user-centered design work

• Proficient in user-centered design, UX research, UX strategy, and interaction design

• Intermediate knowledge of design tools such as Figma or equivalent

 

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience

• 1+ years of managerial experience

• Preferred: previous experience with Agile based project execution
