General Summary:
The End User Computing Specialist provides essential support to our Internal IT team, ensuring our Amsterdam office and global colleagues operate efficiently and without technical friction. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to solve IT issues in a proactive and responsive manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues across our Amsterdam office and global colleagues.
- Receive, prioritize, and resolve reported IT tickets and issues in a timely manner.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT specialists as needed.
- Document all steps taken to resolve tickets, maintaining clear and comprehensive records.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all colleagues.
- Stay up-to-date on IT trends and technologies, contributing to and updating our internal knowledge base.
- Mentor and assist in training new team members.

To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate the following:
- Exceptional customer service skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage routine technical procedures effectively.
- Be a strong team player, capable of building positive and collaborative relationships in a diverse, international environment.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing laptop and desktop hardware.
- Ability to identify and resolve common IT problems, and research solutions for more complex issues.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting.
- Practical knowledge of:
- Microsoft Active Directory
- VoIP phone systems
- VMWare
- TCP/IP networking and VLAN concepts
- Windows 10 and macOS
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
- A relevant vocational or secondary education (e.g., MBO or HBO).
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Relevant industry certifications are a valuable asset.
Working Conditions:
- Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
- 0-10% travel may be required
