General Summary
ConnectWise delivers a variety of solutions for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), including Professional Services Automation (PSA), Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR). The rise of cybersecurity threats like phishing and ransomware have made our BCDR solutions more important than ever to safeguard data and keep companies secure and productive. MSPs rely on ConnectWise to address these complex challenges with our solutions that are simple, comprehensive and profitable.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Data Protection business unit and help us develop and maintain our software products. In this role you will be a part of a global team that works to develop and support the best possible product for our clients. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain a scalable web application across the full stack
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the stack
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure coding standards are upheld
- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver a high-quality system
Experience, Skills, and Competencies
- 2-4 years of work experience
- Understanding of OOP principles and design patterns
- Understanding concurrent programming principles
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Experience in ORMs is a plus
- Experience with any NoSQL solution is a plus
- Experience in building web applications: PHP or Python using web frameworks
- Experience in building REST APIs
- Expertise in the frontend basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, DOM manipulation
- Experience in one of the modern frontend frameworks: React (preferred) / Vue.js / Angular / Svelte
- Familiarity with Node.js and frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Rollup) is a plus
- Familiarity with message brokers, distributed queues (Celery, Dramatiq) is a plus
- Experience with Git, networking and Linux basics
- Familiarity with containerization technologies
- Experience of building services in public clouds (AWS / GCP / OCI) is a plus
- Team spirit, good problem-solving skills
- B1 English level or higher
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
